The lady that greeted us and signed us in was really nice and competent. The doctor and the Techs were fantastic. they are definitely very good with people and animals. And they were very gentle and explained everything they were doing and I would highly recommend for people to go there for their veterinary and vaccination needs. And it’s good to be able to save a little money going there because even going there can be expensive. Definitely a positive experience. It’s my second time doing that there.

I'm writing this post to warn potential grooming customers of Petco in Sturbridge about grooming cold-weather dogs. Please think twice before using their services. I have talked to management and am not going to get into a he said, she said argument, but when specifically asked to NOT shave our Husky for any reason, they went ahead and did it anyway. "For esthetic purposes," they said. We said NO upfront when they tried to convince us it may be necessary. No. We know what is best for her care. We should have walked out then but assumed we were clear and understood. This is absolutely the wrong way to care for a snowdogs coat. They have ruined her undercoat, which is harmful because she can no longer sleep in the snow or cold. She prefers to stay outside in the cold weather. It is her in nature. She is now unprotected and her coat may not grow back properly. This is unacceptable. She was to get a bath and blow out. Period. We have been going to groomers for years and need to switch them up to trick her and get her through the doors to get her bath. She is smart and knows what is happening. We specifically asked about their experiences with grooming Huskies and Malamutes and looked at reviews and decided to give Petco a try. This was a horrible mistake. I hate doing this to any business but this is important information for any Siberian Husky or Alaskan Malamute owners to know.

terrible customer service in Sturbridge ma, waited over 45 minutes to get fish and the employees just walking around like I was invisible. When I asked for help the two people standing around talking claimed it wasn't their section and not their job. Rude won't shop here again

Definitely check paperwork to verify. Even though I told them multiple times and had my dogs previous vaccine paperwork they still messed up the birth date

Need groomers who have experiences with all animals. I have seen too many animals getting abused and assaulted. Our best groomer is Wendy. The rest suck. I'm done with this place.

The staff at the Sturbridge Petco is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I brought my young dog in to get groomed and they greeted him with such love and care! My pup was nervous (considering the last time we dropped him off somewhere he got snipped) and the staff there was so kind and my dog warmed right up to them! They also did an amazing job grooming him. We love you Petco
