“The owner Sam is wonderful. He's always very talkative and they always carry whatever we want. It's a great place to go in. They carry a lot of different liquors and also household food. Fantastic”

“I really enjoy bringing my kiddos here- we’ve always had positive experiences & the staff members are trained (or actively being trained) to be very welcoming. Our last trip there we had Sharon assisting us with the checkout and she was so kind and helpful. She was interacting with multiple customers during our checkout and her communication skills made everybody know they were being taken care of or when they would be. Lovely to see such Exceptional Customer Service, even when the staff has a lot to deal with. Thank you 5 Below staff & especially Sharon for being awesome!”
Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
