Osterman has been our propane supplier for years, and has serviced our propane furnace for years but now have apparently changed. They no longer do service. Our heat just went out and when we called them we were told to find out own repair person. Terrible company now. If you haven’t signed up with them yet… don’t. Find another supplier. We will be doing that as soon as we’re able. Terrible unhelpful company.

We've had Osterman for our propane for six years. In that time we've constantly had to fight against deliveries to the wrong account, bills to the wrong account, them cancelling our delivery requests with no notice, late deliveries... The list goes on. Even though our tank is labeled with my name they still can't figure it out. The people I've spoken to there are lovely, but the company is entirely dysfunctional (I assume the company's procedures and training are garbage). But Osterman owns the tanks so we're stuck with them. If you have the option to go with another company, take it and run.

I have spoke to some very nice customer service reps, but others have been not so great. Specifically, no sense of urgency from 3 reps regarding my empty tank (despite requesting auto-delivery). 4th was kind and made sure I finally got the delivery.

Completely disorganized and an absolute shambles. I don't know if this is related to their being bought out by SuperiorPlus or not, but at any rate onboarding as a new customer has been an absolute tire-fire of an experience. They failed to notify me that I needed to schedule an inspection appointment. When I did, they didn't show up. They left multiple numbers to call them back at, and whomever was answering one number didn't talk to the other person so a tech wasn't actually dispatched. They finally got the tank inspected and then delivered gas to the wrong tank and billed me. Upon being notified of this issue, they rolled a tech to check, BILLED ME FOR THAT, and that's just the beginning. Over a month later and at least 5 phone calls my account is still holding a charge for the gas that was not delivered to me. They wouldn't even go send a tech to figure out where tanks were onsite. I had to go do a site survey myself, draw a diagram and a table and send it to them. This has still not resolved the issue, though I'm concerned their automatic billing system is going to happily mark my account as in arrears and ding my credit for not paying a bill that is not mine.
Buy a separate tank and use that if you can at all costs.

We have gotten deliveries of propane from Osterman, for 15 years. Recently, they tell us that our air conditioning condenser is too close (15 feet away), and that they cannot deliver to us anymore!

We kept smelling every once in a while whiffs of gas out in our kitchen stove..we called them up, they came the next day and after further review, sure enough we had one.. found the problem, fixed the problem and we no longer have a problem..we are forever greatful for their quick response..oh, and they are very friendly too!

Osterman has been a great business and home natural gas partner for a long time. Their prices are reasonable and service is exceptional. I especially love the cellular notification they receive when my tanks are low.

Price gauge the daylights out of you once your a customer. If you own the tank they would sell propane for 3.30, if you rent like me they wanted 4.80 and this was 2 months ago. Going without a fill up the rest of the winter because with the Ukraine war I can’t afford a fill up. The propane they are selling has been in there tanks all winter but the price is as if they just received it from Russia. Bad company, very greedy. When I challenged them on the price gauging 2 months ago would never call me back.

Getting set up in a new town is stressful. It was a pleasant surprise to come across a company that was so easy to deal with. Unlike some other experiences we’ve had recently, working with them was a breeze. Everyone has been helpful and courteous, and that’s what customers look for.

Service rep, Cliff, was punctual, amiable, and informative of various aspects and functions of our propane cooktop. He also opened our eyes to the simple, but huge fact, that in the event of an electrical outage, we can light the burners with a mechanical charcoal lighter (a much more cost-effective solution than a generator).

Unprofessional, rude, incompetent, uncaring. They will blame you for their numerous failures and they couldn't care less if you have no heat. When they start blaming "the computer" for their problems, it's gaslighting, pure and simple. Their bad attitude will rub off on you and ruin your day. Go somewhere else, anywhere else.

On the eve of a storm they came and disconnected my entire home from a tank they claimed they owned, without notice or a chance to figure out logistics. They didn't stop there, disconnected the other tank I own and fill with a separate comany from my heating and cooling supply as well. Either a sister plumbing company needs work or this company is evil for the fun of it.
