Terrible, horrible customer service and prices..... Never enough cashiers, and the few working get annoyed when you go to pay! $0.10 for a paper bag, seriously a paper bag!

The meat and produce shelves were half empty. I think Wednesday is the end day for their weekly stock. It was slim pickings. I can live with that. What I don't like is that the store was actually busy and they only had one register open with no bagger. While they had the self scan lines open, only one person was working that, and the bulk of the lanes has issues with scanning. At one point the regular lane has an issue and flashed the light for assistance but no one ever came. The customer had to leave the line to do something that looked like replace a broken bag of pet food, holding up the line further. The was no manager in sight. I feel sorry for the front line employees having to work in such a mismanaged store. Personally, I won't be back.

This is no reflection on the people working on the floor. Rarely have I had a bad experience with the employees. What I take issue with is the facilities. What was really my limit is when I was looking for loose potatoes yesterday …just some loose yellow potatoes; the produce man was really nice, as he saw me looking around for a bin of potatoes as if I lost my keys. He really did try to give me a solution, but what he said next is what pushed my button. He said, we don’t have the room for it; it’s not in the planogram. I wanted to scream …SIR! YOU WANNA KNOW WHY YOU HAVE NO ROOM IN THE PLANOGRAM ITS BECAUSE YOU HAVE HAD A BUSTED SALAD BAR FOR WELL OVER TWO YEARS THAT IS DISPLAYING ARBITRARY BAGS OF SHELL ON CIRCUS PEANUTS OR RANDOM CANDY APPLES.. OR ANY TYPE OF S-H-I-T THAT IS TRYING TO HIDE THE FACT THAT YOURE HANGING ONTO THIS HUGE EASTER EGG THAT LOOKS AS CONVINCING AS WHEN THEY TRIED TO HIDE E-T IN A WIG & PEARLS IS WHY YOU HAVE NO ROOM IN THE PLANOGRAM! THERE IS A STATIONARY STORE TAKING UP AN ENTIRE AISLE ACROSS THE STORE! This store is just,..well, it could be better. If that sad salad bar is any reflection on their business acumen, then I surrender. We are all doomed. The only reason I go here, is the location - it’s closer than Market Basket and it has a big parking lot. That’s it. That’s the only reason. It has nothing to do with the store. Finally, for the love of God please move the bagged lettuce. There is a huge support pole in the way that makes it seem like you don’t want people to buy bagged lettuce. Maybe just swap around the weird drinks and guacamole on the other end. YOUREALSOALWAYSOUTOFFAGE0%YOGURT! Please try to be better. Thank you.

Update: I also forgot to mention that that the quality of their produce items is well below Market Basket, Crosbys, and cannot even try to compare to Whole Food. I have brought my Swampscott Stop n Shop groceries home only discover mold on berries, bagged apples, bagged oranges , bagged potatoes - onions even- often enough to whine about it on a google review. Sure, I hear them advertising a freshness guarantee, but I am not about to drive back over there, or hold onto the crummy food until the next trip. Stop n Shop is telling me, by what feels like their devil may care business tactics: is they could care less that in this high inflation economy they’re usually more expensive and the lowest quality. They could really care less.

The girl working at the flowers I go up to her askin to blow a balloon I had in hand,she was very rude saying sorry im.going on lunch break,come back in 60 min! Wow I broke down in tears saying u are very rude,I worked customer service over 25 yrs! Customer comes first!
In top I begged my aunt birthday very sick in hospital, this may have bin her last day,she goes sorry im.only one in stop shop who can blow a balloon, then 5 more customers came this was mothers day weekend,she left ,I stormed to lady in charge of front end and said noone can blow a dam balloon! So I was in tears,angry at poor customer service and I'll NEVER EVER STEP FOOT IN SWAMPSCOTT STOP SHOP
and the others also pissed
And also are boycotting that store,at lease whole foods in swampscott were extremely friendly payed more for it but worth it
And guess what my aunt passed away the next day
I was horrified she must be fired
