It's fine. Interior rehab from previous design is pretty and contemporary. Adjusted to the "fast casual" type of hotelling that is common today. Rooms were clean and crops but small. Shower head is a D-. Water pressure is terrible. That may be a regulatory issue but I have to believe a better shower head could help.No cooties, cleaning staff obviously does their job and the building refresh will make it feel nice for a while. Plus I grew up around here. Good landing spot for visiting my childhood.Addendum: the new HVAC units are too loud. Otherwise I'd score the rooms better.Food & drinks: Aroma Joe's across the street and Crack'd are just down 133 aways. I love Crack'd, excellent fast breakfast and coffee.

Through air conditioner was very loud. Also, it's very close to the highway.

Where do I possibly begin I guess I'll go with pros and cons.Pros- front staff were very nice....that's it for the pros.Cons-everything else.We came across this hotel because our original canceled almost last minute and based on the reviews I thought this would be an advantageous place to stay, I have never been more wrong in my life.First of all this hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere there's nothing around so be sure to bring any food or snacks with you before you check in. Our room had to be changed when we first checked in and they told me it would be at the same cost when I looked online it would have been the same cost anyway but that is just the beginning. The first thing we noticed was at the hotel was clearly under Renovations and nothing was open this is not a problem but it would have been nice if we were told this beforehand as it may have swayed our decision. When we got on the old rickety elevator the first time a maintenance employee told us good luck with the hot water this is not something an employee of an establishment should be saying to someone. Zero professionalism. As it turns out they were right the first night the water was lukewarm at best which is a serious issue and also had very poor pressure. After having an abysmal shower we then found that you cannot have the coffee pot and the microwave plugged in at the same time as everything was on an extension cord. This is not only inconvenient but also a hazard as the rooms are not very well lit and it wouldn't shock me if someone accidentally shocks themselves. Also despite Renovations the coffee maker seemed like it was from the year 2000 and what you see is what you get they will not clean the room or provide any type of room service despite a sticker on the bathroom saying every two days..The new air conditioning unit also seemed to have a mind of its own and would decide to put out heat or Cooling despite what we put the temperature on inside the room. It was an auto switch over but when you set it on 69 it should not be going up to 73 or 63.Another thing that shocked us was on Saturday night the entire room seemed to have lost power we don't know what happened to that and never got any explanation. The word must be out on this hotel as well because the only time we saw people were Saturday other than that we honestly felt as if the hotel was only for us that's how dead it was.I could honestly keep going with how bad this stay was for instance they had ice buckets yet no ice machine was anywhere to be found and if you're a stickler for safety you might not want to use the elevator there's no certification in site.Oh I almost forgot about the hidden fees you have to pay an extra $100 for accidental damage I'm fine paying that but that should have been included in my price I'm not sure if the hotels the blame or the website I use.All in all I would never stay here again and I would rather sleep in the woods behind this hotel.

We came in on a bus tour. We were told the hotel was new or newly renovated. Unfortunately, no hot water for many, my room had a used kureg cup in the coffee maker and long hairs on the bathroom floor, so no, I was not the first in my room as we were lead to believe. The kitchen was under reno. However, our rate was to include breakfast. What was offered was an embarrassment ! Staff were friendly and tried their best, but a hotel of this caliber and having been through renovations with the chain they should do better. I hope in the future this place becomes better, but I would not book here until everything is opened and guests get what they pay for. Location was central to Salem and Boston about 45 mins to each

It's very expensive for what you are getting. Someone that I know came up from Florida. This person paid $286,00, for one night. Also, he went through a site that made it a little cheaper.

Hotel is unsafe for guests to stay there. There is no hot water and the elevators didn't work. Most of the floors are a mess with debris and construction materials strewn about. This should not be allowed.

3.5/5 as of 10/16/2023 (the name is being changed from Inn at Tewksbury to Hilton Garden Inn as of today?!)I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel based on mixed reviews online. The renovation is mostly finished in all areas. It wasn’t difficult to find, but it wasn’t easy either at night with a tarp over where the old sign used to be. The entrance was very brightly lit. Lobby area was pretty barren, but I wasn’t looking to hang out at the hotel so it was fine for me. There is a gas station nearby you can grab stuff at (including Dunkin Donuts). I was only looking to have a clean place to sleep so the cleanliness was my main concern - which was fine. As they’re wrapping up the renovation, you can smell paint all over the hotel which bothered me a little. One thing to note, I didn’t find a safe in the room, again wasn’t a concern for me as I did not carry any valuables, but I’ve never stayed somewhere without one. Hotel toiletries were basic bar soap, shampoo and conditioner. It does have a microwave, Keurig machine, and a blow dryer. To note - fridge was not very cold. The bathroom was a little tight. As it is newly renovated, it is clean for now.

Elevator didn't work 1st day there. Was never told we had to ask for room service. Half the lights in the room did t work. Food in mini fridge from previous occupant, also the ky lubricant under the bathroom sink with the "clean" towels.

I stayed in room 461 at the Inn at Tewksbury on Saturday September 9, 2023. My home was one of the many places in the area that had lost power and after spending Friday in the dark the humidity Saturday made it that staying home could not happen. We reserved a room at the Inn at Tewksbury (formerly Holiday Inn soon to be Hilton Garden Inn). The room was clean, A/C was cool but unfortunately when getting ready to go out for dinner realized there was no hot water ! I went down to the front desk to inform them of this. Was told I was about the seventh person that had informed them of this and that the manager would be back in the AM. When checking out in the AM I informed them again and was told the manager “stepped out” . I left my number for the manager to call me to explore what could be offer for this problem and I am still waiting for that call back. Poor customer service. Certainly doesn’t look good for the new hotel taking over. They are renovating this hotel which is probably why the hot water did not work. If you are going to be renovating make sure the rooms you have available work properly. Would love to get that call back. Must have been a long “stepping out” for that manager.

The building is being renovated, and the check-in desk is around the back side of the building, and there aren't any signs to direct you. We stayed one night, and in the morning, the fire alarm went off and there wasn't any running water. The housekeeping staff kept opening our door to see if they could clean the room before we checked out.
