Metro Credit Union is absolutely the worst when it comes to customer service. Tried calling the Tewksbury branch several times, just to get perpetual music while on hold. The website is useless, and their virtual assistant (called "Chelsea". A.I.?) doesn't even work properly. The website isn't setup (desktop PC) properly, and you can't log-in anywhere due to poor formatting. The mobile phone app for android devices is also useless. They push this junk software and are going BACKWARDS in quality of service. I'm not able to do any routine banking tasks with them at this point. Very poor customer service! I've been with Metro Credit Union (used to be Mass State Employees Credit Union) for 40+ years, and I don't recommend them at all.

When I bought my home I was excited Metro was so close, super convenient right! The customer service is so bad that I'm actually considering changing banks now.

Lobby is never open. Extremely frustrating that it takes 45 minutes to deposit two checks. Been a member for years, questioning leaving because I can never get assistance in a timely manner.

Got my Mass Save Heat Loan hereDid all the paperwork online. Had my checks delivered under 1 week after initial application. People were very helpful online.

I was in the area and wanted to cash a check for $150 given to me by my partner (so I know it was a good check); I had intended to use the Tewksbury branch of Bank of America (where I typically do all my banking) but I had just learned that their branch had permanently closed and the Wilmington location down the street wouldn’t be open for another hour (10 AM). So, I figured I could just cash it at Metro since I have a savings account and a CD with them. Teller told me she couldn’t cash the check because there wasn’t enough in my savings account, and then I pointed out to her that I have over $51,000 in my CD. She said that didn’t matter and she still wouldn’t cash the check for $150. I spoke with the manager and explained to her that I have over $51k in a CD and I’m just trying to cash a check for $150 (also explained how the BOA nearby had closed and the one down the street in Wilmington wasn’t open yet). Manager clearly did not care at all and pretty much told me “too bad”. As soon as my CD with them finishes up I’ll be taking my money elsewhere. Horrible customer service!

The WORST bank ive ever dealt with. No one knows anything. Everytime i go in i talk to ALL the tellers. No body has answers. Super unprofessional, tellers were talking badly about people who had gone thru the drive thru. The app always crashes. I had to stand at the counter while i waited almost 3 hours for them to figure out how to open a buisness bank account. I cant wait to close my accounts and go to a bank thats easy to deal with. Id rather have teeth pulled than deal with these people

Changed management quite a few years ago now. Hasn’t been the same. Not very convenient or good for me at all. Many issues with them in internal situations. One instance my wife had was very stressful and her acct. got locked, they did not bend at all. They seem to still be going downhill. I’m out when i can. Covid really seemed to hurt them as it was hard to figure open times, appointments and atm troubles alot. Especially Tewksbury location. Seems better now for access but… saying this because my main accts are in a great bank to compare to.

They removed the walk in atm and the drive up atm continuously has issues, I am considering switching banks because mete is becoming so inconvenient.

Told to wait 10 minute for ATM reload. Waited 45 minutes. Line backed up. Could have gone to window- now it’s broken!!! Waisted too much time.

Waiting in a long line to cash a check since they closed the lobby. Forty minutes is way too long for any customer. Open the damn lobby!!
