“I had an amazing experience with Born to Move!! I researched many companies before deciding on this one, that was recommended to me by an acquaintance, and was extremely satisfied with my choice. I highly highly recommend! They offered a reasonable fee for my cross-country move paired with personal service. I loved that the mover who picked up my items was the same who delivered them. I knew my belongings were secure and would not be changing hands many times, plus I had a clear idea of when to expect the delivery which only took a few days. Jenya, David, and Ruslan were amazing!! They were careful and efficient, very kind, and worked so hard to make our move a positive experience. Alex was so helpful walking me through the process and answering questions leading up to moving day. Our things arrived in great condition and when expected. I could not have asked for anything more in a moving company. I am so appreciative of Born to Move and our excellent movers!”

“Holy smokes they were great. They came in-person to check out our stuff, told us what they could and could not take, and arranged for the moving day well in advance. On moving day Patrick and the other guys showed up on-time and immediately got going. They listened to our instructions perfectly. Anything they weren't sure about they asked us questions to clarify, and were charming and polite. Everything flew by and we were moved in after just a couple hours!

“Moving in general and cross country moves especially are always extraordinarily stressful. I would, however, recommend McLaughlin Transportation for a cross country move. Yes, the packing crew badly mishandled paperwork on loading day but they actually did a really good job packing fragile items—not a single piece of glass (cup, plate, mug, etc) was broken over the course of a ~2,000 mile move. It’s taken me many cross country moves to understand that your home is packed and moved to a warehouse by one crew, stored and shipped by another, and then unloaded by a third, etc.. Though my delivery was delayed 7 days and the paperwork issue at loading really upset and stressed me out, the moving coordinator, Lori, is was surprisingly responsive. When I emailed in about my concerns, I thought she’d never reply or pickup the phone (I’ve had experiences like this before with other moving companies). This was not the case with McLaughlin Transportation. Lori always called me back, answered her phone, and emailed me back—always. She never dodged a hard question from me and fielded all of concerns about the paperwork issues with a lot of professionalism. I was expecting to be blown off (again, horrid experiences with another cross-country moving company) but I never was once by anyone at McLaughlin. Lori’s helpfulness is at least 80% of why I had an overall positive experience. Eric, too, was great. He came by my home twice to drop boxes off for me to use while I packed my own goods. He even dropped off special boxes like wardrobe boxes when I requested them. That easily saved me a few hundred dollars. Look, it’s always gonna be stressful and expensive but McLaughlin was the best paid cross country moving service I’ve ever used. Would recommend.”

Their communication was excellent, confirming the details of our move shortly after we made our request through the U-Haul website and letting us know when they were on their way on the day of the move, which was very reassuring. Joe and his crew were extremely considerate and thoughtful with how to pack our belongings, and they did such a great job carefully handling them that all of our items made it to our destination undamaged. If you’re moving in town or a long distance, you’re in excellent hands with Joe; we can’t recommend them enough!”

“I see that others have written poor reviews, but our experience with ABC Moving and Storage (Hudson/Leominster MA) was entirely positive. We were quoted a competitive price by David (our salesperson) and ended up coming in at a slightly lower price when all was said and done. Moving occurred on-time and was handled efficiently. Delivery was on-time, and we are particularly grateful to Regina in the office and Kevin (our driver), who worked with us to arrange a convenient delivery time when we were faced with an unexpected family emergency. It feels a bit unsettling when a crew of guys start moving all your belongings into a huge truck, and it might have helped if someone had spent a few extra minutes talking with us about the process at the start of our moving day. But honestly, these guys knew what they were doing! The entire crew worked hard. Nothing was damaged or lost. Everyone was polite. All in all, we received excellent service on both ends.”

“I can not say enough about the customer service and help I received from this moving company! whatever I asked them to do they did! I need to be moved out of my condo and half was going to storage, some was going to the dump and the rest was going to my new place and nothing was ever a problem. they asked me which items were going were and they packed their truck accordingly and efficiently! Every item that was brought into the house, they asked me where it was going! They were polite and clean and extremely helpful! if anyone wants a top rated, efficient company please consider these guys! They were also very polite and respectful which is extremely hard to find these days!”
