We stayed in room 233 and it was adorable! Super clean and the private beach is priceless. Make your reservations, you will return year after year!!

For $300 you get hard water for your hair a non functional room with water damage and a cup to fill clean water in because the water is not drinkable. No ice, no service, no heat. Bathroom with collasping walls and no vent. This is the hotel for your nightmares. The one star is for clean bed. The best in being the worst. No value, just a spot to sleep while trapped on a island

Stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! The staff was super helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and had all the necessities, the beach was private and peaceful with chairs and umbrellas. They had great amenities like free coffee, water, towels, coolers etc. The location was walking distance to Main Street and other popular areas. 10/10 would recommend!

Had a great time here! Staff was lovely & helpful, the private beach has chairs, towels, and umbrellas (and is beautiful and quiet!), and the rooms were clean. Location was great, very close to the ferry and the main streets. Would stay here again!

Summarized points…Pros:- Relatively affordable- Nice view of the harbor, small private beach- Close to lots of restaurants and shops- Comfortable bed- Workign A/C- Clean fridge…Cons:- You get what you pay for- Very limited onsite parking- Sketchy, dark off-site parking that looks like a scene from Holes- If off-site lot is full, you’re SOL- If you’re arriving outside of check-in time, you’re on your own.- In dire need of an update- BugsThe normal hotel I stay at for work was booked so I decided to try this for a change since the review was 4+ stars. Let’s just say, I will not be back. This review is not a refleciton of the staff who were nice and did what they could.First off, I was on a late ferry with an arrival time 9:15pm (last check-in is 9 pm). I get a phone call with directions to my room. The instructions were that no one would be here to check me in so my room would be unlocked with the key inside. This was the first red flag for me, especially as a solo female traveling for work. I made sure to have my husband on the phone and checked every door and under the bed for safety measures.Second, there is only less than 10 parking spots adjacent to the hotel that is first come, first serve. Overflow parking was across the street in a lot that is about was 100ft back from the street. The dirt road had so many divots and there was no light around the area. Imagine having to park in a sketchy lot full of old cars and walking back with your stuff across the lot. In that moment I regretted not having my taser/pepper spray with me, all while praying I won’t roll my ankles. The staff informed me there were in the process of adding flood lights… I managed to find one spot in the middle row that did not block any cars, only to be awakened by some random guy pounding on my door at 7am yelling that my car was preventing his truck from hitching his trailer…. he knew which room I was in because the parking pass had my room number written on it… YIKES!Now to the room itself… besides the sketchy check-in, it was basically a “you get what you pay for situation” which was still about $300/night. I killed about 30-40 fruit flies (no exaggerations) that kept popping up out of nowhere. I also found 2 tiny bugs crawling in the table which had me paranoid all night I’d be bringing a souvenir pet home… There were so many stains on the ceiling, I just felt dirty being in there. With a simple replacement of some of the fissured ceiling tiles, the place wouldn’t have given off such a bad vibe. I’ve attached a few pictures for you to judge for yourself. If you don’t need a room that feels clean and just need a bed to sleep on, this will do the trick. Otherwise, spend the extra money ESPECIALLY if you’re traveling alone…Safety: Very poor.

You get what you pay for: These are relatively affordable accommodations by Martha's Vineyard standards. But apart from some minor nuisances (the overflow parking was tucked way behind the lot across the street, and the AC unit's lowest setting was jet engine loud), we found our stay pleasant and comfortable. The location is extremely walkable: There's a Stop & Shop nearby, tons of restaurants (Garde East next door is a gem, though expensive), plus bus connections to the rest of the island.

Hidden gem on Martha's Vineyard. Located in Vineyard Harbor . Great location...near busses, shops, restaurants and the hotel has its own private beach! Rooms were clean with stunning views of the harbor.

Rooms are small and smell moldy. Bath insert was chipping and falling apart. Tub was chipping and falling apart. Caulk around tub was all moldy. Total filth in window sills.Never saw a maid the 4 days I stayed there. Outside shower didn't work. All the gutters leaked. Mattress was sunken. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

The staff there is very nosy, keep your shades closed at all times or they will be peeking in your room,

Just spent a weekend here and this hotel far surpassed our expectations! The rooms are bright and spacious, friendly and helpful staff, clean and well maintained rooms. Nice beach access and sun-beds with umbrellas.
We grab breakfast twice at the Black Dog Water St. Bakery and bring it to the room, that’s also convenience stores nearby (stop and shop).
We caught local buses from just around the corner to explored the island for $8 a person 24hrs.We will definitely be back.

Outstanding; very friendly; eager to please. To me, the quality of any business is not solely in the product or service itself, but in how they handle problems. When I arrived, the motel was still going through a renovation; they apologized profusely for some things still being out of order - and then they went straight to work making everything right. My room key didn't work (new doors, new locks) - there were four people in total making sure I got the right key. There was still a gap in a new section of railing - they patched it over within an hour of my mentioning it. When I asked to be moved to a room with more sunlight, not only did they, but it was a cheaper room, so the manager made a point of getting me a refund. Since I'd booked through Expedia, she couldn't get the refund onto my credit card and consequently gave me cash.Rooms: The room in which I stayed was small and simple yet more than adequate. Bedding was soft and clean, shower had a new showerhead which was clean and worked great, nice big comfy chair by the windows.Nearby activities: The motel is very close to central Vineyard Haven; it's easy to walk into the middle of town. The ferry terminal is also very close (1/4 of a mile, 0.4 km, from the front door of the motel to the ferry dock itself).Walkability: This area is about as walkable as anything can be. Grocery store, ferry to the mainland, restaurants, shops - it's all within a mile or less.Food & drinks: The hotel offered free Keurig coffee, but the location is within a very short (definitely walking) distance of a ton of restaurants and central Vineyard Haven/Tisbury.

I could stay here all day just watching the boats and ferry. Great location! We walked to the VH restaurants, shopping and ferry. So easy-going!

this was the most unexpected encounter with the older women who manages this hotel. I'm not sure if she was going through something that day but she was so aggressive and this hotel not paying their employer and I was brought to assist because the employer doesn't speak English and she is Cape Verde. They didn't give her the full amount on her check so I was asked to come in and help translate and resolve the matter and this older lady who is the manager was extremely rude telling me that the Cape Verde women should have come in earlier to get the check and that's since she didn't give her the whole thing but when I asked the Cape Verde lady she said she went back 3 times to get the rest of the money from check and this women would not give to her. This lady got SO loud and frustrated so on record I asked her if she could damn down because I'm not upset and nobody is mad we are just trying to help and she stood up and told us to leave. There was also two kids sitting there inside saw the whole thing happen.

I forgot I had rented my house and found myself in a real jam late at night. Most of the places advertised had extremely outrageous prices. I have driven by the Vineyard Harbor Motel 1000,000 and figured I'd give them a call. I'm so glad that I did and they are now in my phone. Excellent. The motel is updated and crisp. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows not so much. The location is right on the water and the rooms are extremely well appointed for the Vineyard at this price point. The layout of the rooms make them very spacious. The rooms are inside a U shaped structure that is invisible from the street. Each room is accessed by a HUGE deck overlooking the ocean. It seems to have its own beach.

Currently staying in room 224. There is no heat in the room and it is supposed to be in the low 40's tonight. The girl at the front desk promised a space heater but never came and went home. The TV is not working. The hot water takes 10 min to get hot. There is tons of dust on the AC. The blinds don't close all the way. The only positive is the location. Yikes!
