This was great I went in there and bought a pocket knife. They were great and didn’t even try to say the crimshaw ones were better. They told me what they were used for and really helped me out. Only 30 for this!!!

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, experience in this store “Vineyard Times”, in Vineyard Haven. The older lady at the check out is so rude. She yells at everyone even kids. I was buying a $2,500 watch for my father in law, I kindly asked if they could put the right time on it for me, and the lady said that she was not my maid and I should do it myself. She actually yield in front of everyone, she was so rude that other customers came to me and said that I shouldn’t buy the watch. I was almost crying I didn’t understand why she was acting like that. Another customer (a sweet lady named Anna ) came to help me, she didn’t let me buy the watch anymore, she said the lady was being rude to her too right before I went in. She decide to stay in the store and observe the way that lady was acting. Maybe she was having a bad day. But no, she’s just a horrible, rude, unhappy, ugly inside and out person.I left the store with 7 other customers that decided to support me, none of us bought anything!I would never go back there or recommend that store to anyone!!

Got a tour of this great little place by the resident scrimshander, Darrel. He's incredibly talented and very happy to show his process and current projects. There's plenty of great items from both Darrel and other local artists for sale. I was pleasantly surprised to find many quality pieces in my price range. Pieces are available in all price ranges and the sky's the limit. I saw some very high end and rate pieces. Highly recommend visiting if you're on Martha's Vineyard. Ask for Darrel if you want to be wowed by a very talented local artist.
