I love giving reviews because I am a HUGE believer in crediting people for being AWESOME! Let’s talk the Shaw’s bakery department!!!! Shout out to the bestest most amazing bakery staff and cake decorator EVER! I just went in there 1 hour ago explaining what I wanted to get for my son’s birthday and they made it happen in ten minutes! They are exceptional!!!!!! Thank you so much!!! My son and the guys at work tonight are going to love it!!!!!! Even had the trim matching the edible image!!! Yayyyyyyy!

Among your employees, Quinn from curbside pickup is the finest; she has assisted me with my purchase on multiple occasions. Nobody else I've dealt with has ever bothered to let me know when an item was out of stock or offered a replacement. It wasn't until I checked in on the app that I would know I was almost there to collect. When something is temporarily out of stock, Quinn goes above and above by sending me pictures of many alternatives. Her example should be set by your fellow curbside shoppers; she is just remarkable.

Quinn from the curb side pick up has helped me with my order a couple times now and she is by far the best employee you have there. Any other person I've had, they wouldn't even notify me that things were out of stock, or offer substitutions. I would only find out when I checked in on the app that I was on my way to pick up. However Quinn goes the extra mile, and will send me photos of MULTIPLE options for whatever is out of stock. She is amazing, and your other curbside shoppers should follow after her lead.

I took my handicapped sister shopping at Shaws for her birthday cake for her birthday last weekend. She has trouble walking and got very tired in the middle of the store. One of the Shaws employees noticed it and came over and asked if we needed a chair. Which she then ran and got one for us. Then the manager came over and gave my sister a bottle of water. Just very nice of them to go out of their way to be so considerate of somebody who is handicapped.

No self check out? Really? Then only 3 check out lanes open. I was in line for 45 minutes and it was very stuffy and hot in the store. No AC in at all. Then the paper bags have no handles and are very thin and cheap. The cashier's do not smoke or greet you, hardly talk to you at all. This is one of the worst Shaw's I have ever been in!! Will not be back no matter how close I live. Worst customer service ever and again no self check out lanes. Ridiculous!!

@ wakfield shaws if you ever need help with finding items youre unfimiliar for a family member who may be sick or have dietery needs. Look for anastasia or bridget. 2 employees that are kind and knowledgable and welling to help. They really went out of thier way on june 24th just as the store was closing

It would have taken me just a few minutes to buy a few things, so I scrambled to get to the store before its advertised 10:00 pm closing time. I arrived a few minutes before 10, but the door was locked and no one would let me in.

I just left shaws in Wakefield ma empty handed, I was on a chat with shaws online a couple days ago because I can’t figure this clip a coupon thing, After going back and fourth the person on line she said she would do it for me and all I would have to do is type my phone number in and I would get the discount at check out. Well when I went to check out that didn’t work so I went to the customer service desk and explained what I was told online, the lady behind the counter was beyond rude. All she kept saying was if you don’t clip it you won’t get the discount in a rude manner. This lady shouldn’t be at the customer service desk with her attitude. I calmly left the items on the counter and walked out . Shame on you shaws
For treating a senior citizen like this.
So shaws response was to contact them again but not give me the discounted price because I don’t know how to clip coupons . I’m curious how many senior citizens know how to clip coupons at shaws . How many senior citizens pay full price because they don’t know how to clip coupons? Again shame on you shaws for treating senior citizens like this and taking advantage of them .

Always a wait no matter how busy. Store is very clean.Update 03/2024: They added self checkout kiosks that eliminated most of the wait. The prices, however, have gone through the roof. It's so bad that you'll spend about 50% more for the same products compared to Market Basket.Shaws is more of a giant convenience store rather than a super market. You only go there for a few small things because they're close but you wouldn't do a whole food shop there because of the prices. The good thing is their produce section is great! The quality and variety are easily better than Market Basket and Stop and Shop. The store is still very clean.

Fine for a supermarket. Generally well stocked, bright, clean. Produce and fruit is sometimes lacking.Edit: They have severely reduced their checkout lines after putting in self checkout, so I am reducing my review. Last time I shopped, there were 7 employees standing around and only one lane open.

Have gotten home multiple times to find products expired weeks ago. Most of the time prepared fruit/meals etc are scarce and expired. If you’re looking for expired food this is your place! So many employees just stand around chit chatting, maybe they should be checking items before they give someone food illness.
