I used to go to hairmates in Stoneham but have found my new place. Mindy is great. She listened to everything I typically like. I literally walked in with a mop and came out feeling pretty. I have really thick hair and some hairdressers in the past have been able to give it shape. It's been a struggle the lat few years to find someone to give me a good look. Thanks Mindy!

the worst salon ever. would give it 0 out of 5 stars if I could. they do not listen to client's wishes AT ALL. extremely disappointed, will never go back again.

this was awhile ago but I made an appt. for makeup done and hair for school dance I arrived on my time. There was only two ladies working the one with short hair was doing another girl that was supposed to be doing me. I just asked for basic curls and my hair is easy to get a curl but it was barely curled. My makeup I got home and I was orange I could see it worse at home because of the lighting. My mom end up buying a curling iron curled my hair and I wiped off all my makeup did it on my own. The curls and makeup was like $180! I did go back and got my eyebrows down by the other lady I assume she owns it and I loved that and the place is beautiful overall.

Anytime I have a special occasion (or I'm just feeling lazy!) I have Kristen wash and dry my hair. I really hate doing my own hair, it takes forever and it never comes out good. I am so glad I found this place because it's a short walk from my house and Kristen really knows how to style hair however I want it, which is different every time I go. Not to mention she's really friendly and fun to talk to! The salon itself is really clean and cozy. I feel very comfortable walking in here which is not always the case with hair salons! I would definitely recommend Style My Mop and especially Kristen.

I have been lucky enough to have Kristen cut my hair since I started coming here back in November. She does an excellent job with men's cuts and is as friendly as it gets.

I cannot say enough good things about Kristin. My first time with her was last week and I can honestly say it was the best haircut I have ever received. My hair is difficult at best. Definitely recommend this salon. I will be returning on a regular basis. Thank you again, Kristen.

Finally took the time to check out Style My Mop after purchasing a Groupon for a "Cut, Style & Deep Conditioning treatment." Kristen worked with me - she is wonderful. Very patient, friendly and "in the know" with hair care. I never seem to be able to describe how I want my hair done, as I get it cut only twice a year and cannot for the life of me, every re-create the look after the first day - so I don't like to go to crazy. Hair is not my forte. Explaining this to Kristen, she busted out a variety of recent photos of styles on current celebrities she has collected in an album on her iPad - to help put a vision to my lack of description of what I wanted. Once we had the length and bangs settled - she made sure she created a look that I would be able to easily manage on my own. SO if you're like me & want a hair cut, but stink at doing your own hair & need help finding a managable look - ask Kristen. As I had VERY long hair - Kristen asked if I would be interested in donating my hair to a company similar to Locks for Love. I ended up donating & she took care of shipping it off. Overall - I have & will keep recomending Style My Mop for those looking for a good wash, easy hair cut & nice people.

I went here for the first time on Saturday and I had an excellent experience. I had never heard of it before but I bought a Groupon for a much needed cut and style and I'm so glad I did! Kristen was awesome and understood exactly what I wanted. The salon was a big open room and much different and more laid back than other salons I've been to in the area. I will definitely go back again!
