I reserved a compact sedan car on the website. At pick up time, only one EV car was available, and I was advised that if I want another car, I have to come back and check the availability. I really needed a car, so I got it. The car was dirty and had only 10% charge. I kept the car for four weeks and returned it before it was due. Within a few days, I was charged for four weeks. Later, I was charged for one more week ($305), plus $46 for an unclear reason. So I called customer support and after about a half-hour chat, they agreed to return both. Only $46 was refunded, so I called them again, and a guy said that I was charged because I kept the car for five weeks, and I need to go to rental office to solve the issue. Long story short, I walked there three times and talked to two highly impolite and unprofessional ladies, but they could not address the problem. Finally, I chatted customer support, and after giving certain documentation, such as bank statements, they accepted the mistake and refunded the money. This process took about two months. My advice: Don't go to the Waltham office. They are extremely impolite and unprofessional and know nothing about accounting. When you return the car, they fail to give you a receipt. You may expect to be charged more for nothing.

I went to pick up car about 2 hours after my actual booking time and was met with the absolute worst & rudest customer service ever..She began to argue and lecture that I was 2 hours to pick up my vehicle and that they’ve already given my car away, Inspite of me prepaying for my vehicle.Why have staff that look like they hate the place and don’t want to be there..Long story short went to the Allston Avis on Cambridge and they were absolutely awesome..Good thing out of this ordeal was that I found an awesome Avis that want my business ?

Customer service attitude is the worst. As an Uber driver they talked to you like trash, good for nothing. No one answer their phone line. Call anytime and you get corporate tech support. That local branch is and possible to which over the phone. As they've always said you have to their counter office to address all concern. They have no care about helping. As always there answers have always been to call their corporate for double, triple charges.

Message to the managers, fire the person who works at this location, she has attitude, car is gross and bunch of used cans and bottles just laying on the floor of the car. All she cares about is sitting on her phone and do nothing

The service was great. Friendly and pleasant and professional but the car was filthy, the check engine light was on and the hybrid function was giving a service light that dinged over n over for the whole 13hr trip! Why do we get hybrid vehicles with 3%battery life? Should it not be charged up? ?

The car was filthy when I picked it up, covered with road grime. It had clearly been through a lot and had not been washed. In addition to the road grime that caked the windshield, there were about a dozen splotches of bug remains splattered on the windshield. The combined effect was to obscure vision of the driver. That might have been easily cleaned, but the windshield washer reservoir was empty, so the windshield could not be cleaned. However, what was more alarming was the warning that appeared in the instrument panel when I turned the car on: "Maintenance Required. Visit Your Dealer." For two days, I wondered what routine maintenance had been skipped that might potentially disable the vehicle. Fortunately, nothing catastrophic occurred. Really disappointingly poor performance by Avis.

Car was filthy and smelled of cigarettes. No clerk in the office at drop off so I was charged a 2 day late surcharge because the keys were not given to the Avis rep from the hotel desk clerk who I gave them to. The Avis office at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, MA is a hole and should be avoided if you want a clean car and a responsive rental agency.

The staff at this Avis have been helpful at every step of the way when it comes to renting with Avis/Uber. I'm extremely happy with my experience with them and definitely recommend them!

Probably don’t even care about this review. They don’t honor reservations, just simply close early if they want to. Spend 20-30 mins per customer, are never interested in business I guess. Not available on phone
