This location is infested with bugs and mice. I arrived to my storage unit to find my belongings covered in maggots- especially my couch. I gave this place one star because Jeff at the office is very nice. But I certainly wish I had my $300 and my couch back! Don’t store valuable items here. I’ll never use this place again.

I have been a happy customer of Cube Smart Self Storage in Waltham for many years. If you are considering renting a unit in the area, do so here! Not only is the location great and safe, but the building is also well maintained, and staff/management are highly responsive and knowledgeable. The price is reasonable as well, in line with area costs. I do want to share this particular story. Recently, I was unable to get into my unit and Jeff (who manages the facility) was excellent in getting things sorted out. As it turns out, the door had gotten blocked by my piano as it had shifted (it is on wheels) just ever so to cause the issue, so it was a bit of a funky situation. Jeff tried his best to get it fixed on his own, but the piano was not budging. He had to put in a work order to get service/help out, and it was resolved in a few days. During the process I had nice convos with Jeff along with his updates. One high note is several times he mentioned how great Cube Smart is as a company to work for. As customer, when an employee is happy with their employment/employer my ears perk up. So often we hear not great things about a company from folks both internal and external, and I was really pleased to learn how solid Cube Smart is and how well it treats its employees. Kudos Cube Smart! As a customer, this is important to me to know, and I wanted to share as I think it is to others as well. Employees are the best ambassadors for an organization, and they can make or break the customer experience. So, net result, I highly recommend Cube Smart whether you need a space in Waltham, or in one of their other locations!

Cube Smart a Waltham, Massachusetts, was not open today — 10 AM — a business day. We had no advance notice. How can a business treat its customers so poorly? We were astonished at the company's arrogance and lack of respect for us. Is there a government agency we can report this to? We phoned — no response.

My rate just jumped from $456 per month to $562 in one month!!!! Whaaat? This is close to what I was paying at Extra Space storage on VFW Pkwy for twice the size. I also agree about the bathroom. No soap the last two times I've been there. Disgusting.

25% rate increase after 7 months. I opted to downsize. I waited 1.5 hrs for someone to show up during office hours to release a smaller unit. I was charged a rate higher than the reserved rate. After escalating the issue the next day I was given the promised rate and refunded the difference. They get one star for that, but lose it again for making me work for what was promised. While waiting the hour + for someone to show up, I found months worth of filth in the bathroom. It took staff five tries to program my elevator code leaving me stuck between floors with loads of stuff multiple times. She ended up giving me her code since she couldn't get it right. Oh yeah, and rodent traps throughout. The only reason they get two stars is because after multiple calls, I stumbled upon an out of state manager that was nice enough to help. Spare yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere.
