Gore Place is a grand 50-acre country estate in the city, steeped in history and serving as an invaluable community resource. The grounds are open daily from dawn to dusk and free to visit, offering picturesque landscapes and a historic charm that creates a truly one-of-a-kind setting for any event. The team at Party Time Events Group had the pleasure of working with Watertown Savings Bank to host a full Carnival-Themed celebration at the gorgeous Gore Place. They were impressed by the professionalism, warmth, and hospitality of the staff, particularly Linda, who provided a personal tour of the Carriage House, a spectacular hidden gem. Visitors can enjoy various events and tours at Gore Place, or simply take a peaceful walk around the lovely estate grounds. The interior is an ongoing labor of love to transform it back to what the original owners, Christopher and Rebecca Gore, would recognize. The small farm in the back of the property adds a sense of rural life to the city setting. The guided tours, lasting approximately 45 minutes, are led by knowledgeable and personable guides who bring the history to life with their engaging stories and answers to all questions. One of the most intriguing aspects is the story of Robert Roberts, an enigmatic figure who lived on the property. Gore Place is highly recommended for its preservation of early country estate history, its community events like the annual Sheep Shearing Festival, and its peaceful, picturesque grounds that offer a unique and memorable experience.
Very beautiful, free admission to the grounds but I highly recommend the mansion tours. Well worth the price and our guide was great! Interesting and very cool to see.

A personal tour. Guide was knowledgeable and answered questions clearly. The building itself is interesting.
