I bought a new set of summer over the winter, finally spring is here. I call these guys up to have my summer tires mounted, balanced, and an alignment done and they tell me they can't do that?? The place is literally called Auto & *Tire* lol.
I usually like to support local places over chains however Hogan across the street got me set up.

Read all the great reviews and thought this would be a good option for a tire repair. The guy was so rude, just stared at me blankly like I had two heads, when I asked how to proceed, told me he didn't have time today, and then when I asked when the next available appt was he responded he didn't know. I then asked if he suggested calling back to make an appointment and he gave me another non-answer, basically advising me to go somewhere else. So, ??.

It seems that people like this shop. Unfortunately, my experience was not that satisfying. I was looking to mount and balance 4 new snow tires on 4 new rims. Bill was friendly and scheduled an appointment. I dropped of the tires and rims, with installed TPMS sensors, to be mounted and balanced. Later in the week I brought the car to get tires installed. Bill called with an unfortunate news " Tires don't fit. " Rim was rubbing on the caliper. Not what you want to hear when your are $1400 in to the project. No suggestions of possible solution or any recommendations was offered by Bill. Original quote was $25 per tire. When I came to pick up the car and tires, price doubled. $200. I thought ok, he spent his time trying to install tires, no problem.
I found spacers that would solve the problem and installed tires myself. After a test drive noticed vibration in the steering wheel and back of the car above 70mph. Clear indication of tires out of balance. When picking up tires, Bill mentioned that he had hard time balancing tires, and I saw multiple weights on the rims, which is not recommended as it doesn't balance. Bill said that this is because of TPMS sensors. And yet all cars from 5 years old have them . BTW I do have over 10 years of auto repair experience, so I know what I am talking about. Went back to the shop, explained the situation and asked what can be done. After all I paid double, for the job. Bill's reply was that he will rebalance tires for free, if I take them of the car and bring them separately. If he has to do it the regular way, tires are on the car, then he will charge me another $25 per tire. The reason, he didn't install the tires on the car.
In my opinion, a shop that stands behind their work does things differently. One takes the car, verifies that tires are installed correctly, takes it for a test drive, confirms the issue, corrects the balance, and everyone is happy.
Considering my experience with Waltham Tire and Auto, I will be going to the real tire experts, TownFair Tire.

Pretty clean shop and well organized.
FYI, tire mount is 45 dollars per tire, including balance. Spent 90 bucks for mounting two tires.

Called to see if someone could take a look at my tire as I suspected I had a slow leak. They told me to come in and they’d squeeze me in. They pulled an industrial staple out of my tire and fixed it up! I think I waited 20 minutes all told. I could not be more appreciative!

They did a really good job at an excellent price. Changing tires doing oil getting all the pressures correctly. Very happy with them.

I had being go there for over 30 yrs I followed the owner from another shop. I recommend everyone to Billy I've moved to Virginia from Waltham There's nothing like a good, honest mechanic

The owner is pretty chill and professional! My battery is completely dead and I got my car towed to their shop, concerning it was something huge. Turns out I only need a battery changed, he fixes it quick! I got my car the other day I sent to them! Price is pretty reasonable! I think I will stick with them if I have car issues in the future, highly recommended!
