I just spent $239 on a DeWalt brushless trimmer, got home and opened the box to see a BROKEN, DIRTY machine! Home Depot #2602 in Watertown, MA. I am a single mom of two teenagers, and without a lot of free time to drive back to the store, wait in line, and then go shopping all over again.

Home depot sucks. Went online and rented a truck. Received confirmation. Morning of rental received email truck was not available. Manager said someone came in and rented it even though I had confirmed rental. Managers at these stores have little to no brains. Probably good at stacking lumber and sweeping floors but running business sucks. Hope depot is losing money but I doubt it.

Refused to honor something that was marked for 50% off because they weren't sure if it was supposed to be listed for 50% off. No associate bothered to check and confirm if the item was supposed to be priced at 50% off. They instead implied I was poor for not being able to afford it at full price and this was said to me by an alleged manager of the store. He refused to listen to the principle of the matter that the sign lists that said item as 50% off, which could have been solved if he looked where I instructed him to find the discounted item

Tons of employees, no one working. Customer service line is 7 long. Single associate working a register, five standing around.

I cannot get through to speak to anyone about a situation that needs to be handled on Home Depot’s End. This is unacceptable.

Avoid this store like the plague. HD did not deliver a fridge on time with other appliances. Attempted delivery more than a week later of an unusable fridge when I was not in the house. They were not able to get it through kitchen door. so left it in the middle of my dining room, uninstalled and a fire hazard -- all without my permission. or presence. HD customer service agreed to take it back in writing and then changed its position, claiming manager of the store told them to. Manager is not returning call and is being evasive on issue.

We ordered a stacked washer/dryer unit for our condo. The delivery truck came on a Monday. The driver looked at the product on the truck and said he would not unload it because it was visibly damaged. He said he would take it back and get a replacement ordered. NIne days later I called Home Depot to check on the delivery of the replacement. They said the item had been returned but no replacement ordered. I asked why, if the item had been returned with no replacement, there was no refund to me on the credit card. The cust. serv. rep. had no answer for that. She said she would process the refund. So I ordered a replacement on a different credit card. It is now 4 days later and there is still no refund on the original damaged item. The charge is still there accruing interest, 11 days after the return, as my amazement at the colossal incompetence of the Home Depot organization continues to fester.

This is a complaint about the general manager of the Watertown Home Depot Ed Shaut. I visited the store for the first time today to buy some paint supplies in the morning. In the afternoon I returned to make another purchase to replace a broken tool. While I was there I had to organize my vehicle. I was approached by an unknown man who appeared agitated and started to repeatedly ask "Are you leaving this stuff for me?" I thought the man was homeless or deranged or both. When he looked at me I asked, "Do you work here?" He said yes and accused me of illegally dumping trash. [I had my trash in a trash bag in a shopping cart and I was adding to it as I continued to clean out my car and get my tools organized] I said, " it's okay I'm just cleaning out my car. I wont leave any trash behind." He was relentlessly going on about how it's illegal to dump trash, that this is private property, that he was taking my information, and that he was going to call the cops. I said that I would like to talk to a supervisor. He said, that's me. I said I would like to talk to the store manager. He said, that's me. I said I would like the number for his regional manager and he said he wasnt going to give me that information. He then told me I had to leave. It was private property, I'm dumping illegally, and he is calling the cops. I said , please call the cops and continued to clean up and organize my vehicle. I had my doubts that this could be the conduct of a home depot store manager so I pulled out my phone to get a picture of him for reference and ask him his name. Once he saw the camera he started to walk away quickly and refused to identify himself. He never returned. Once my organization was done and no trash was left behind I went inside to make an official complaint. I was told the store managers name is Ed Shaut and he had gone home for the day. A quick google image search confirms him to be the same individual who approached me. This man threatened me. Trespassed me for no substantial reason. Threatened to report me to the police (which is liable if he did) and refused to identify himself or give me the means to lodge a formal complaint with his superiors. I was just there to do some shopping and straighten out my vehicle so the tools were more orderly and easily accessible. Again, this was the FIRST TIME I had ever been to this location and have never had a problem before at any home depot. After going inside to get the information I needed to make a complaint I continued to do my shopping as planned. I am a loyal customer. I do a lot of business with home depot. All of my tools are ridgid. I have spent thousands shopping at home depot. I am in property maintenance. A lot of my clients do business through me with home depot. After I acknowledged Ed was upset and didnt want any trash left behind, I could understand how frustrating that must be for him. I cordially agreed that there would be no trash left behind. He had no cause to escalate things so quickly, mischaracterize my intentions, and be so unprofessional as to threaten to call the police on me, refuse to give me his name or give me the means to report his behavior to regional. And when he saw a camera he ran. This is a good way for Home Depot to lose business.

Generally we have found a few very helpful store associates working at this Home Depot, however, our last couple of customer service interactions have not been pleasant causing us to leave unhappy, and leading to this bad review. From the saw not being available for cutting wood to the size needed, to damaged boxes and missing orders, to the 'card only' self checkout card readers only reading 'certain cards' and throwing errors causing my credit card company to question a transaction and freeze my card because of too many chip reader errors and swipes when the over confident manager tells me it's my card, and to use another when I did not want to... meanwhile, the person checking out next to me had the same card reading error! The managers here are unprofessional and not helpful.

Worst experience of my life ordering services through Home Depot Watertown. Never, ever, ever order carpeting or any other service through them! I paid thousands of dollars for my basement to be carpeted - one room got carpeted with the wrong selection of carpet, another room didn't get carpeted at all. When I called Home Depot Watertown to resolve the issue, the customer order specialist, Steve, was possibly the rudest, most inaccessible employee that they have there. He takes hours long lunches, never answers his phone and will treat you like a villain over any miscommunication that Home Depot online is responsible for. NEVER get your windows, carpeting or any other valuable home renovation service through them!!!!

So, I was at this Home Depot and one of your "amazing" employees, decided to put out his musty a** cigarette on my shoulder. So I said "homie whatchu doin bruh, whatchu tryna get into" and then I realized he was an old white dude maybe pushing 80 so I backed off. I gave him a good luck kiss and sent him on his own merry way. He was skipping with joy down the aisle.

What more can I say that the others hasn't, this place is a joke- but it's also the one closest to my family and myslef so obviously I have to take this joke with a grain of salt and live with it... Their organization is chaotic, their parking lot is filthy, their carts are everywhere and out of control - but wait you will see a whole bunch of orange Home Depot aprons that the employees obviously don's - now watch them before u even approach then they're all over the place Watertown Home Depot is one of the messiest, unorganized chaotic store from Arizona through Alabammy all the way up to Boston I can confirm that!
