Good Luck reaching customer service. Car totaled and was not at fault. Drove to AAA office to reach a representative because I was stuck in a 30 min A.I. loop unable to reach live rep. The AAA rep tried harder for me as she was told that I couldn’t get a car rental extension so I paid out of pocket.
Had to pay for my own rental and my policy says 45 days rental which I paid extra for, either way I wasn’t at fault and this insurance company could have simply fought for me and received the funds from the at fault party’s insurance.
I switched to the 1800 companies and someone answered me right away. It’s sad I had to switch the the Walmart lizard brand but hey a live person helped me switch and I’m never going back again.

I was denied reinstatement due to having too many incidents. Be aware that MAPFRE counts every claim—big or small—as an incident against you, using the past five years to determine eligibility.
My claims included three windshield replacements, an inspection sticker warning, a warning for electronic device use while operating a motor vehicle, and a miscellaneous claim that I was unable to get an explanation for.
Based on this, MAPFRE labeled me a high-risk driver. Now the only insurance I can get is with Progressive for triple the price. This is criminal. What do we pay insurance for. By the way I have had commerce which is now MAPFRE since 1986 with no late payments and never been denied. I wouldn't get insurance from this company again, even if they would insure me in the future.

This company sends out dunning notices after only 2 days of getting the bill in the mail. I'm now looking for another insurance company.
Very unhappy with this company.

I had Mapfre car insurance for several years. My cost was fairly reasonable. But for some reason this year my policy jumped about $300 ( more than 50% increase. My agent could not explain this. But my agent found me a much better policy with another company. Now I am paying around $200 less. By by mapfre....
