“Great communication via text messages and email before I made it to the rental counter. At the rental counter, David was clear, concise, and professional. He also noticed that I had my return time at around 3am instead of pm, and made a point to confirm. He made the changes to a pm return quickly, then gave me clear directions to location that I could pick up my car. Downstairs at the pick-up lot, the attendants there were professional, efficient, and kind. The BMW 325i was clean, and fresh, and was a fantastic car to drive to Harvard, then around Cape Cod. All of the gadgets were a great perk. Returning the car was a breeze. The return attendant was clear, concise and professional. All around a great experience. I will be renting from Sixt everytime it is an option.”

“Last week my new Corvette was delivered to Ciocca Chevrolet in New Jersey. I ask them for recommendations for shipping my car to NW Florida and they recommended East West Auto Transport and gave me a contact, Alan Perry. I called Alan and he gave me the quote and all the information I needed to be comfortable. The car was picked up on Saturday and was delivered to my house on Sunday night. From the initial phone call, through out the transaction and delivery, I was always in the loop and there was never an anxious moment. The courtesy, professionalism and excellent attention to my needs were top shelf from beginning to end.”

“I just recently on Saturday had shipped a vehicle to Kansas for my son to have at college. It was my first time ever transporting a car and was not sure how to go about it. I initially filled out some inquiry online about getting my vehicle transported and the moment I hit sent the flood gates opened with tons of calls and texts from many different companies. I kept getting different prices that seemed to good to be true. I finally ended up reaching out to my neighbor because he ships his sons car to Florida and I wanted to see if he could connect me with someone trustworthy. He connected me with Ted! From the moment we spoke he gathered all the information and explained to me the process. Next, Ted called me on Saturday (when I first spoke with Ted it was on Thursday)and had a carrier ready to pick-up my car at 2pm! The professionalism was outstanding and the communication was way beyond my expectations and believe me I do have high expectations! They kept me and my son in loop via text the entire trip! Satisfied is an understatement! I will be using Ted for any transportation need that I have and I hope you do as well!”

“We have been with YCN for years, with the exception of a short time after Covid our town changed contracts which was a nightmare, but then after pleading with them, they resumed YCN. We have been very lucky with drivers. We had Joanne for 5 years, and she was amazing. We have now had Jim for many years and he is wonderful, too. Always on time, kind and reliable. Barbara, Chris & Laura in the office have been consistently good. Over the past 9 years, I have dealt with Barbara quite a bit and she is always patient and communicative. I know there are so many moving pieces and appreciate the consistency and reliability we have received from this company. I believe it is a rarity in this business, which makes even more grateful!”

“I have only used Zipcar three times but all three of those times I had little to no issue and the small issue I had was promptly resolved. The issues I have/had are1. There aren't any cars in Torrance where I live. I have to Uber to the car which is either in el Segundo or lax. Which whatever that's not that big of a deal. I have more of an issue with Ubers prices being so high but that's beside the point. 2. I was charged a late fee of $50. I was at the location at the correct time. I was waiting in the car for my Uber because it was pouring rain and I would have been soaked. My Uber showed up 6 minutes after my drop off time. I called customer service and easily got someone on the phone. The lady was extremely nice and removed the fee after I explained to her the situation. So all good.I like Zipcar. The prices are affordable, cars have been clean with the exception of one that smelled like smoke but it wasn't that bad and that's not Zipcars fault that's on the dip s**t that smoked in it. The gas is covered which is awesome!! I actually got a Toyota Tacoma last time and it was NICE!! I honestly don't know what everyone is complaining about because the Zipcar I use is awesome and convenient ish. So Zipcar if you're reading this maybe have some cars in Torrance but if that's not an option fine. Keep up the good work!!!”

“I first signed up for a Zipcar membership in Madison, WI, and generally had very positive experiences there. When I moved to Boston and had a look at all these reviews I was kind of dreading the occasions when I would really *need* to rent one. I just figured, well, in a major city things are bound to be more chaotic. But I've rented 3x now with them and I was very happy with all of my experiences. I did have to contact customer service for each rental to deal with some issues (e.g., locked gate for returning the car, previous renter very late), but I got through very quickly to someone, and each of the people I spoke with was super helpful and very friendly. *However*. . . it's important to go into this with sensible expectations and to be prepared to change things up if needed. For my most recent rental, the person who had the car before me was stuck in traffic and eventually we had to switch to another car--not the company's fault, that just happens. For my trouble, I was offered a significant discount, which I appreciated, mostly because it allowed me to take care of a lot more errands by having the car for longer. In terms of renting strategically, you can do the following: (1) try to rent a vehicle that's in a less busy neighborhood, less usage on the car; (2) check out the vehicle in person beforehand to see if it's pretty beat up and more likely to present problems--also to figure out where the car is parked, which is not always easy to figure out; (3) try to choose a vehicle that does not have a lot of rental time before or after to avoid being delayed and to allow you to extend time if needed. To be honest, if I had someplace important to be (wedding, business meeting), I would either not rent a Zipcar, or have a back-up plan. Customer service: it's quite possible you may end up speaking with someone who is not in the U.S., not shocking that they're outsourcing. But the people I spoke with had perfectly good English, and I found them very pleasant. You would think from reading this whole string of reviews that literally everyone who rents a Zipcar has some kind of nightmarish experience. I'm going to guess that anyone who has a terrible experience is much more likely to post here?”
