Have to be honest, shiners died within 30 minutes of buying them. I read the other review you might see about people not being cautious enough and assumed I'd be safe -- I wasn't using a plain bucket but a Frabill Min-O-Life case with an aerator which I kept on.Got to my spot, opened the box and shiners were all but dead. They would lethargically twitch if I picked them up or touched them but they sure as hell weren't swimming.Could be a bad batch or my error but to be honest I find it alarming that there's a significant amount of other people who're buying shiners from here and having them die instantly. When I buy shiners from other places they don't die within 30 minutes regardless of the conditions I put them in, good or bad, which leads me to believe the ones sold at this spot are just unhealthy and near death. They die abnormally quick.I'm sure you *could* keep them alive with a lot of effort and resources, but why not just take the detour to another shop where you'll probably get a better rate anyways?I feel bad leaving a bad review but it rubs me the wrong way that this is the most accessible bait shop on the reservoir with the highest chance of your bait dying. Leads me to wonder how many people are getting dead shiners and just staying silent.

Always has plenty of live bait in stock, and the only place in the area that actually stocks crays- huge ones, too! Great for shiners, also. Cheap and healthy, and so long as you bring a submersible minnow bucket they'll last as long as you need. Owner really knows the area well; highly recommended for fishing the reservoir.

Great little spot to get your live shiners, caught 2 big bass and a big Pickerel. Near a good fishing body of water (Wachusett resevior). Thanks Mike for helping out, he said he caught Salmon with shiners, I'll be coming back to score me one. If anyone know a good tip on how to catch one please reply to this lol.

Everything you need to target and land whatever you're after. Ed, is very knowledgeable and open for dawn to dusk fishermen. Fair prices and healthy shiners.
