First, do not go there for dinner if there is a wedding going on. They will seat you in the basement with virtually no view of the water, which is a big reason for going there. Also the food was awful. We both had the lobster roll. The presentation was poor and the small amount of lobster was dripping with mayonnaise. Not appetizing looking and it was tasteless. No excuse for what they charge. $120 thrown away. Ruined the night. Maybe they could only focus on the wedding but if that's the case, then close the restaurant when there is a wedding.

So I have to preface this by saying that we did not know that there would be a wedding there the night we made our reservation so this review is only based on what we found when we arrived. First, DO NOT GO IF THERE IS A WEDDING!!!! And no you didn't text us to let us know there was a wedding so that is BS. The water front is likely a really nice place to have dinner but because there was a wedding we were sent to the basement which IS NOT anything like the upstairs. This is on their website “Dinner will be served in the Oceanview Lounge Lower Deck. Private events will be upstairs”. The lower deck is the basement and is not worth going to so make sure if you're making a reservation you find out if there is a wedding because THEY get the upstairs and all of the views, the deck seating etc etc. There was a group that walked in after us who had driven an hour to come to the waterfront and the look on their faces was heartbreaking. They were not prepared for the basement. So sad. We stayed for a drink, left, and then went down the road to another place which had a fantastic view of the sunset so in the end it turned out just fine.

Returned to the Lighthouse Inn because of the new "lobster pie!" Hadn't found anything like that since vacationing in Maine! It did not disappoint. Overall service and food were great and we had a great view of the ocean - watching the sunset and the moon rise. Great joint birthday celebration.

Do not be fooled by the location—it's the only thing this place has going for it. Service? Zero. Food? Tasteless. Prices? Absolutely not worth it. We lasted 42 minutes before escaping and had to go elsewhere just to keep my birthday from being completely ruined. They moved my Friday 6:30 pm reservation “downstairs” because of a wedding upstairs. What they don't tell you is that “downstairs” looks like an abandoned employee lounge: musty, outdated, and mismatched tables and chairs, some set, some not. Honestly, they'd be better off refusing reservations altogether than trying to pass this room off as a dining space. The hostess couldn't be bothered—told us to “sit anywhere” from across the room and acted annoyed every time we asked for anything. The food was an even bigger disaster. My stuffed haddock with risotto had zero flavor. My husband's osso bucco was equally bland. I actually had to add salt just to eat it—something I never do at restaurants. Drinks? Undrinkable. $150 for the worst dinner we've ever had on Cape Cod. This place is rundown, mismanaged, and staffed by people who clearly don't care. Prime location wasted. Avoid at all costs.

We sat outside on the deck with the ocean view. Very nice! Service was very attentive. The food was okay.... Clam chowder tasty but could have used more clams. The wedge salad was good, the lobster add-on wasn't as fresh as expected, unsure if it was previously frozen.

Due to a wedding reception, dining was moved downstairs which did not have much ambiance. View of Ocean was non existent. Service was slow because there was only one server. Unfortunately, we won't be going back.

we booked a dining reservation for this restaurant for Saturday 9/13/2025. When we arrived we noticed a wedding was taken place so rather then the restaurant we were seated in what was called the lounge. It was dark, smelled of mold and damp, there was no view of the ocean the only view was a view of under the porch. I ordered the burger and fries the burger was the consistency of a hockey puck and had grizzle in it i took one bite and was done. My sister ordered the fish and chips and after two bites she was done it was soggy. The cost for this horrific meal was around 100 dollars before the tip. I think it should have been stated that a wedding was taken place and you would be seated in a smelly clearly water damage basement. Not a lounge of any means. I will say that it was worse then a VFW, and Elks club or The Legion

We ordered prime rib with mashed potatoes and vegetables zucchini mix. All cooked to perfection! Great atmosphere and service. Was seated on time for our reservation at 7 pm. No wait even though the place has many other guests at dinner. Fireworks on the beach that were right above us. Best display I have seen and the outdoor patio where we were seated also had musical accompaniment that was great! Best Labor Day celebration ever. Can't wait to go back for another meal. Beautiful ambience and seaside dining.

We had a great experience at Lighthouse Inn, and at their Waterfront restaurant. We were staying at the property and we ate there twice for dinner, including the fireworks event at the adjacent West Dennis beach and it was truly outstanding. The views are spectacular, the food is very good and creative, breakfast buffet was plentiful and had healthy options as well as the expected fare. We loved it so much that we have already booked for next year.

Unfortunately this place can only survive on its location which was absolutely gorgeous ocean views and beautiful sunset. Our waitstaff were excellent too. The food was so horrendous. I feel bad saying that but my goodness how do you ruin a boiled lobster. The tail was almost shredded when it came out of the shell. Not succulent like must lobsters. The claws had very little meat in them. There was some sort of black substance in the tail of my friends lobster. Not green but black. I did not complain to to waitstaff as they cats not cooking the food. They were excellent. There was piano player on the inside that was quite annoying. Picture the Shining and you may get an idea of the ambiance.

I had the haddock dish. My food was good, just warm not hot. Nothing special and very expensive at $42.

Matthew was our server and was great! Very personable and aware of what was available and what wasn't. He was attentive to our needs and super friendly and always checked on us to see if we were enjoying our meal. Food was also very good. 😎

We had a 715 reservation and waited by the desk for 10 minutes before we seated. Once we were seated, it took approximately another 10-15 minutes before we were approached by our waiter. We ordered our drinks (and some water) and waited another 10 minutes before that showed up. He replaced our appetizer and meal orders when the drinks were brought to us and it took another 20 to 25 minutes before we had our food. We heard another waitress state that the kitchen was backed up, but our waiter never told us anything or came back to check on us. Overall, we had a great view of the sunset, and the food was good. If you don't mind a long wait to be seated and for your food, it's not bad.
