Savers is a global thrift retailer offering gently used clothing, accessories, and household goods. The store operates with a Rethink Reuse business model, focusing on purchasing, reselling, and recycling items to help the environment and support community programs through donations to nonprofit organizations. With over 300 locations, including brands like Value Village and Unique, Savers provides a wide variety of items that change daily, making each shopping trip unique. Customers appreciate finding quality old items and enjoy browsing through a layout similar to a department store. However, some shoppers have concerns about the rising prices, noting that items now cost more than they did in the past, and that the prices for some clothing and accessories are often higher than what is available online. One common complaint is the absence of fitting rooms, which makes trying on clothes impossible, leading to some purchasing items that may not fit, especially since returns are not accepted—only exchanges within two weeks. This can be frustrating, particularly for clothing and pants. Additionally, some customers mention that damaged or worn items, such as cracked household goods or jewelry that turns green, are still sold at higher prices. The store can also get very hot and stuffy, which detracts from the shopping experience. Despite these issues, many shoppers still enjoy browsing Savers, finding bargains, and supporting its mission to reduce waste and support community programs.
