It is always nice to realize that banking locally means the bank cares about the community…. LOLOf course i figured that was the case before i brought my 4 year old in here because she learned about banks at preschool and wanted to exchange some quarters she had earned for some bills. Mind you just quarters and just a small amount, i was promptly turned away by the teller because we don't bank here. (I bank online with the same bank for years) and was just trying to dosomething fun with my kid. As I was walking out with a tearful child i figured we could try over at the Local TD Bank (where i also don't bank) they asked the same question but the senior teller immediately laughed and made an exception and they happily exchanged my 4 year olds $6 in quarters for HER.So i ask you, which bank cares more about the community?This occurred at the Ludlow Branch but cross posted to other branches as there is no main page to review

I have been trying to contact this credit union for years, Terrible, no call backs ,my account is been hacked and has ruined my credit. This place is terrible you have been warned !!!! They will not help me at all..

the chicopee one TAKES FOR EVER to go through drive through. seems like only 1 person works at a time.

absolutely the worst! they cause an issue, tell you what to do, then charge you additional fees for doing what they told you to do!

Transition from the west Springfield credit Union to the Freedom. corporate credit union sucked as the employees are still the same but the policies are completely different and not community friendly for some reason they feel they followed different banking policies as every other traditional bank in Western mass . With the technology available to all of these corporations to make a simple deposit we don’t except third-party checks. I’m depositing it into my account place a hold on it until it clears.

They have been magnificent in the past. It was possible for me to be overseas, for example, and call them through Skype, and have them pay down a Visa bill from a recent payroll deposit. But they don't do that any more, and the e-banking is nowhere near as effective, and probably not as secure. If I miss a Visa bill, they sock me with a huge fee- and I can't just pay it off over the phone. So I have to drive there for any significant business. I don't go to banks at all, their service went South years ago- I guess they are picking up this habit, in the executive suite. Staff are generally cordial and efficient, though, unlike in banks.

Been a member since they open up and love how they take care of the members. Old fashion service that is rare to find. Very courteous and friendly people that make your daily visit so welcoming. Great place of business.
