Just noticed these guys have been charging me for a long time. Did a trial and it’s been on auto pilot since. Under new ownership with a new name and still taking money out. When I called the lady at the desk couldn’t help and said the manager wouldn’t be in. If you went in to sign up there would be no problem. I said I didn’t even care about money back just wanted to stop being charged. Sure wouldn’t help and then started with huge attitude. They suck! Look at all the other reviews!

Only reason I am a member here is because of the sauna. Other than that, the gym is not well maintained, gym etiquette is not enforced, and many of the machines are broken or near broken. Safety of the gym is a large concern and crowds of teenagers who hog gym equipment is the norm. I have been at NYSC (formally BSC) for years. The student prices went from $20 to $30 monthly. Clearly not worth the price as the gym can get very crowded and equipment and amenities are not properly cleaned or sanitized. Overall dingy atmosphere. Would not recommend.

I live a couple blocks away and keep my membership only because I can walk over and know what an ordeal it has been for others to leave (see the other reviews). I wouldn’t recommend it for any other reasons than location and the lack of crowds (due to shrinking membership). The equipment is dated and in poor repair. 8 of the 40 stand-up cardio machines are currently out of order, most of the strength training machines have missing or worn pads, and a couple of the benches are a lawsuit waiting to happen with exposed sharp metal edges and loose joints. The AV system is just a handful of old 32” TVs, some are broken. The pool just reopened after being closed for several months by the health dept. which is a nice improvement. Still, the overall vibe of the place is neglect. I've been looking at the same damaged walls and broken lockers for at least a year. They haven't bothered to swap out the logo of the former owner on the entry sign or even replace the missing letters. The staff is at least friendly but cut down to the bare minimum and largely apathetic. Gym etiquette is most definitely not enforced. Unsupervised teenagers and horseplay are pretty much the norm. A couple months ago I saw a fist fight break out between two high school boys; the desk attendant was too engrossed in his phone to notice, even when one of the two walked past with his eye nearly swollen shut. It's a shame. When I first joined over a decade ago, it was a beautiful gym. With the new Planet Fitness in town, I suspect the ownership is just keeping the lights on until the lease runs out.

Time for these people to admit the poolIs closed for good. No response to any email, phone call, nothing! Don’t even bother with your “here to help” email. You don’t answer that either! They are sticking their head in the sand and ignoring us all. Great way to run a business.

Gym is falling apart and no one cares.Equipment is broken, Pool has been closed for months, elevator is now broken, and the gym had a kill zone

The gym is really muggy, definitely smells like mildew the entire time (and sweat etc). Their website and Gympass advertise towels- they don't have towels! Be prepared. The machines are all pretty dated but functional. Desk staff were nice! Just be prepared for the smell and humidity and bring your own towel if you want the sauna- the pool is STILL closed!

I’ve been trying to cancel our membership for over a month now due to a legal matter with a new member and every single time I call I’m told we can only cancel with a manager, but a manager is literally NEVER there.I’ve left multiple email messages on the website with no response and none of the front desk workers bother to take a message. Literally have called 5 times, was even re-directed to Wellesley location and THAT manager wasn’t there! I’ve been calling around 11am-1pm every time I call.This is the gyms way of avoiding you so they can just keep charging you. Ridiculous

Refuses to stop charging my credit card and cancel my membership despite cancelling 3 months ago. Every time I call I am told it will be taken care of, then my credit card continues to be charged. I will be calling my credit card company to report their activity as fraud and block them from future charges.

0 out of 10 if I could. I signed up for the pool, and the health department closed it. They won’t let me cancel my membership now unless I pay a 70$ annual fee.

Pool closed by board of health. They say maybe open on Monday. Call the board of health and listen to the list of violations and this might be months if ever before the pool is open.

Well what a frustrating time.I went over to start a membership and potentially an Personal Training.And I told the person that I was going away for couple week and he said I could put my membership on freeze.While I was alway the PT asked when I was coming back so he could plan his schedule.I said to him to do it without me and that I was going to do the PT next year.He said that I was charge already for 8 sessions $680. I told him to refund the money as I wasn’t agreed on being charge for it.I got back couple days ago and went over to talk to the manager CHRIS and he wasn’t there.I went back today and he said that I was charge by verbal agreement and I said well I need my refund because I did not agree on it.He said Im not giving you your money back and you should leave or I’ll call the cops. I said to him don’t bother I’ll call the cops.Witch I did .This is very frustrating for a place to take money out of your account and refuse to give it back.I already called my lower, i can’t believe this is happening.I would say to who ever is thinking about being a member to this place #BSC be careful and think twice.
