Very helpful. I wanted a special head stone for my dad. They helped me design it. Plus they didn't make me feel bad for how long it's taken me to be able to get one for him. I've done that on my own as it's 25 years after he passed away. I can't wait to see it at his resting place.

Emily, Trish and the rest of the staff made picking out headstones for my husband in 2018 and my daughter in 2023 bearable and meaningful at the worst times in my life. Emily was compassionate and professional. She also had an amazing ability to listen to my grief spoken words and come up with designs that were exactly what I wanted. Trish was always kind and patient when I called on the phone. It takes special people to do what they do. I am so grateful they choose this as their profession. We are lucky to have them in Westfield. Emily from the first day I met you with your pink work boots on…. You are a gift!

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Smith Monuments that I feel compelled to share.
During our initial appointment, we were unaware of the cemetery’s specific requirements and did not make a purchase. We tried to obtain this information prior to the appointment, but they refused to speak to us without an appointment. After the initial appointment, they seemed upset, implying that their time was wasted. We felt pressured and judged for not making an immediate decision and purchase.
We returned for a second appointment, hoping for a more informative and supportive interaction. Upon arrival, we were told they were too busy to see us but could spare time after expressing how disappointed we were having made an appointment. Their response was dismissive, and then literally called us “difficult.” Obviously we decided to leave and not purchase anything from them.
This experience left us feeling disrespected and rushed during an already difficult time. We were seeking guidance and support, not judgment, hostility, and profanity from the owner who clearly made it uncomfortable for anyone to be in the office. Horrified for the poor gentleman in the office too. Completely unacceptable and inappropriate.
I hope this feedback encourages Smith Monument to reflect on their behavior and customer service skills, especially when dealing with grieving families.

Smith monuments was amazing. We lost our infant son last month, and they made a beautiful placard to put under a tree in our yard for him. They were caring, compassionate, and efficient. I would recommend them for anyone grieving and in need of stone work, and would highly recommend working with them if you’re also going through an infant loss.

I highly recommend using Smith monuments, the pricing is very fair compared to other places where I have heard that they charge per letter.. that is not the case with them. On top of that Trisha is absolutely WONDERFUL! In a time where nothing makes sense, after losing my brother Trisha has been so genuine and sincere. She has answered all of my questions and sent me multiple quotes, after I lost the first two. She makes it easier to make decisions by giving you answers that make sense and are clear to understand for someone who knows nothing about headstones (like me). Thank you Trisha, and Smith monuments. People like you make all the difference in this world ❤️

Sadly, our mom passed away in July this year, and it's been so tough trying to get everything that needs to be taken care of done. We worked with Emily and everyone at Smith Monuments for my grandparents stone and they did an amazing job so I knew I was going to go back for them to help us during this tough time to have something for our mom done. Everyone there has been such an amazing help. I love how they work with you from working with your ideas. You may have to answer any questions and not rush you thru the process. I highly recommend and will continue to!Thank you again so so very much. I know our mom is smiling down at the amazing work for her stone as well!

If I could give more stars, I would. I called looking for assistance on cleaning my sons cemetery stone, and Trisha went above and beyond to go there and clean it for me, on her own time. I’m sure they deal with sadness from customers all the time, but she went above and beyond to help a grieving Mom. ❤️

My fiancé we looking into having someone clean our family’s head stone. I contacted Emily was extremely helpful. We scheduled the work to be done. We got a postcard saying the work was done. We went to look at it. We drove right by the stone it was so cleaned. It looks brand new. We also had a marker done for my parents. Emily told me to submit the design I wanted. She sent me the proof. It was a perfect match to what we wanted. We just had it installed, last week and it looks absolutely beautiful. My parents would be extremely happy. Emily knows her stuff and we was extremely happy with the service, and outcome of the work. I highly recommend them for any work even if it is just a cleaning. When my husband died in an accident, selecting a monument / headstone was about the last thing that I expected to have to, or want to, take care of. Luckily, we were told to work with Smith Monuments and with Emily. I cannot thank Emily enough for making this as easy as it could possibly be. She helped us craft a monument that is personal and simple, as my husband would have wanted. Emily's ability to be gentle and patient as we asked questions and balanced possibility and budget was extraordinary. I appreciated having space for the Thoreau quote my husband used on the back of his first book, and a message from my son. Her skills, honesty, and matter of fact approach helped turn a disaster into something that will be lasting and positive.

I want to thank Emily and staff for helping me through the process of picking out a headstone for my beloved husband who died in July. Emily was so patient and professional. Best of all, I did not have to drive anywhere or shop around. Emily and I did everything over the internet and phone. I was able to see exactly what I was getting with a proof. Smith Monuments also worked seamlessly with our Temple. 5 stars for sure.

Awesome job. No hidden fees nor fine print. After I signed the contract they notified me that the price had gone down on the monument and proceeded to do a price adjustment without prompting.

Emily, one of the owners, treated me with respect and kindness. Perhaps, because she has an art degree, she was able to quickly design a monument honoring my deceased wife. Emily did not attempt to up-sell me to a more expensive stone that would not fit within the cemetery regulations.While there, I arranged for the repair and leveling of my mother's monument and added engraving to my uncle's marker. Visiting this business was a positive experience during my time of grief.
