Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience at this vet.Our dog developed a cough and we brought her in to see the vet. They performed tests but did not provide the results to us despite having them for over a week. Our dog ended up collapsing. On the way to the hospital, we called the vet and they provided the test results to us over email immediately. The results they provided indicated she had heart disease and had an elevated risk for heart failure, which we did not know previously. While we believe they are qualified and caring doctors at this establishment, I am disappointed by the administrative efforts to provide us test results and schedule follow up appointments in a timely manner. I’m unsure if we could have prevented this outcome but I feel as though vet services of Westwood did not provide us the best chance in doing so. I will no longer bring my dogs here.

Great Dr. and staff! Always going above and beyond to help my dogs. They always take time to make sure the pups are comfortable.

They were very sensitive in telling us our dog was terminally ill and told us of the options and consequences open to us. They allowed time and space while there to come to a decision. When it was decided to put it down they were generous with their time before and after the procedure so we could say goodbye to our friend and soul partner.

Took my dog there and she loved it.Kerry the owner is awesome and actually cares about the animals, not like others who act more like a factory. She took the time to explain everything about keeping my dog healthy and happy. I would definitely recommend this vet services to any pet owner

We have two skittish pups. We moved to the area during Covid, and finding a new vet was difficult because of the restrictions in place. Dr. Thorne is exactly who we were looking for. She's so friendly and kind. Moose and Tippy are in good hands. I feel completely comfortable. She took her time and really got to know us. She provided good information without pushing anything I wasn't comfortable doing. I highly recommend Dr. Thorne. She radiates a genuine love of animals.

Make no mistake about it. You and your pet are a number. This practice has changed over the years. Sad to say. When was the last time the person who greeted you at the door to take your pet smiled and said anything happy while escorting them in? Take note.

Brought my dog in to have a lump removed and they come back with, "While she's getting surgery, we should also extract a cracked tooth." Since the dog is 12 and the cracked tooth is the only known issue (lump hasn't been tested), I asked if we could just do the tooth.I was honest with the vet that every time the dog goes to see someone, there's suddenly all these additional charges and procedures that need to occur. I mentioned how I'm frustrated and don't know what to do, I just want the dog to be taken care of.Well, apparently if you are skeptical at all that's a cardinal sin to these unprofessional "doctors". They refused to help the dog at all and let me know in writing opposed to a conversation.Like most vets, this place takes advantage of its customers, isn't transparent and will put their personal sensitivities over the welfare of their patients.

Attempted to set up a new patient appointment for a dog I rescued and was informed that I couldn’t get an appointment for >2 months. I asked if there was any possibility to at least get his necessary vaccine booster or prescription for monthly preventatives in the meantime while waiting for appointment, and was told no. Ultimately, I ended up going with a different vet instead, and my pup was just diagnosed with a condition that requires surgery, therefore I’m very happy that I chose not to wait it out. I’ve heard absolutely excellent things about Dr. Thorne, but if you’re unable to keep up with appointments, then you shouldn’t be accepting new pets.

I recently took in a cat that was abandoned , I called around to multiple vet offices, including the practice that I bring my 2 cats. ( but they didn't have anything open until the middle of July) & I wanted her to be seen ASAP, due to her ear being infected and puss coming from it. Lisa was beyond helpful, and caring. She was able to squeeze my new kitty in and have her be seen by the vet! I cannot express how grateful I am for Lisa and the whole team. They definitely go above and beyond and love all their four legged animals that walk in the door!!

Dr Thorne saw my Siamese when she was just a kitten. I lost track of Dr Thorne over the years but she is once again taking care of my cat and I hope soon will get to meet my other cat. I recommend Dr Thorne very much. Thank you
