They say they bench test alternators and when you call to confirm when they can bench test alternators, they claim they don’t bench test alternators even know their website clearly states they test alternators in or out of vehicle’s. They false advertise

The store I go to, (437 Washington St, Weymouth, MA), the employees are useless as a title on a bull. They advertise that if you buy a battery, they will swap it out for you. The kid ( I say this because he couldn't be no more than 20) didn't know how to swap out a battery, let alone how to use a ratchet wrench. I got so frustrated watching him that I took it out of his hands and sent him back inside. I ended up doing it myself.The older employees hid in the back and just sat there and didn't offer any help.What I find funny about this place. The employees hate each other. I was in line day listening to one employee bashing the work ethic of another employee. The next day, the guy he was complaining about the guy from the day before. Saying how he thinks he knows how to do everything and has had to fix something that he said told a customer how to fix it incorrectly.HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...

So apparently if you buy a product at another Advanced Auto Parts location, you can’t return it here… at least that’s the reason I was given as to why I couldn’t return two quarts of Valvoline transmission fluid I bought from their Dedham location (because it “messes with their inventory”…!?!?) So what’s the point of carrying the name a chain store if you can’t do a simple transaction regarding a purchase from a sister store??? Seems to me like an opportunity for additional training for this employee who seemed more in a hurry to get to his smoke break than help a customer

I came to this location to check my battery. A sales associate Raymond M. Was very helpful and informative! Not only did he check to ensure I didn't need a new battery he also checked my starter and alternator. He took away all my anxiety of being able to drive my car out of state! Awesome customer service!! Thank you again

Every time I go there, i get excellent service. I'm a woman and I needed help with windshield wipers. I was taken care of within 5 min and the young man also put them on for me!!!:)

The employee that was working yesterday Sunday afternoon was extremely rude I know it's hard to find employees these days but I've never experienced a employee be so disrespectful to a customer for no reason

I took my recycled motor oil for recycling, and the clerk said, "Our store does not sell this motor oil. I will not recycle your motor oil." Then I don't understand. I called to ask customer service,“we were informed that the general rule is that we recycle oil that is bought from advance”. Now I understand why the clerk said“Our store does not sell this motor oil. I will not recycle your motor oil” 。 It means ‘It means you didn’t buy my motor oil, I can’t serve you’。So i take it to AutoZone auto parts. They helped me recycle。I won't introduce friends to advance auto parts.

I bought some products online and it was free same-day delivery. I received an email at 9 PM in the evening and I did place my order before the 4 PM cut off time. I received an email and a text message that it was going to be delivered at 11:52 PM. They cancel the order without calling me and the order was supposed to be delivered by DoorDash. No contact cancel the order and stuck it to me. I would not do business with this location or this company again. Now I have to chase them to get my money back.

Was helpful in getting my battery tested. But battery wasn’t the issue. When I tried to start the car again it wouldn’t start. Asked the employee if he could help me jump start the car and he said he couldn’t. I asked if he had a car that I could use as I had jumper cables and he said no. There was a company branded car parked outside.
