Certainly much better than the competition but mostly geared toward the American diet despite the "world class" thing. If you want to whip up your own Indian food or Vietnamese you're going to have to shop somewhere else.

Customer Service in the deli department is by far the worst I have ever seen! Ask for cheese they direct you somewhere else rather giving you options that they have available.

Coronavirus concerns. Going shopping once a week or longer time. Went to Aldi and waited in line. Got in only 50 total shoppers. A beautiful thing in this troubled time. Very little exposure. Staff at the door cleaning carriages. Smell of sanitation in the air. In and out quickly and safely. Next stop big Y wilbraham and exposure terrible. In line no social distances. Cashier and bagger talking to customer with no mask on anyone. Are you Kidding Me! Exposure to 4 people with person behind me. No lines on the floor..... I'll avoid big Y like the plague. Lack of a unified response to the corona virus in Massachusetts is Unacceptable. And big Y should know better. Also manager talking to deli staff over customer, me. I've got gloves and mask on. We can only do so much as individuals and ongoing business activities must adjust. Horrible service in this trying time. Staff should have mask and gloves. Cleaning supplies. Lines on floor for social distances. Etc.. April 6, 2020 Wake up liabilities!!!!!

I went to the Wilbraham store. I wanted to buy an invincible sub. The girl working the counter got angry when I asked her to replace the pesto with submarine sauce and then threatened to charge me for extra meat because I only wanted lettuce tomato and onions on the sandwich because I didn't want the remaining vegetables. In addition to add insult to injury the sub was reduced by one portion of meat. She stated that subs had to be made exactly as the store mandates or you have to pay a higher price to omit items. WOW. I won't get subs here again. She became loud and hostile. She screamed "that's not an invincible sub". I didn't ask for extra meat. All I did was subtract vegetables. This was completely unacceptable. Some world class service! That is outrageous.

I like Big Y. The prices are sometimes a little high but sales are pretty good. One thing that I think is really disgusting, their can and bottle recycle room, it is FILTHY!!! Floor is ALWAYS dirty, just plain filth. People obviously go in there and dump dirty bags and whatever in the trash barrels but nobody cleans it up. Big Y brags about what a great store they are but that recycle area shows another side, doesn't seem like they care about the impression they are putting out about cleanliness.

I have the privilege of being both a customer and an employee. My review is going to be based solely on being a customer. But, after working here I can say the staff and fellow employees are awesome and set the stage for a perfect working environment. As a customer, I enjoy the convience of the buy one get one sales, the addition of table and vine so I can get alcohol and save a trip, and the friendly service in bakery, deli and all departments.

I like this Big Y more than the East Longmeadow store. It's huge and not cramped or stressful. They also carry beer, wine, and liquor. Which is the only supermarket in the area that does. It's clean, organized, and stocked. Parking lot is kind of small.

A very nice Big Y. The mini Table and Vine section of the store is one of its best features. They also have things just as simple as a bag of plain shredded cabbage that other big y's do not (speaking from a weekend experience lately when I went to the Ludlow one and they failed me, but this one did not). Super nice customer service as well!

I love this Big Y!! Very clean, friendly staff, except for the girl in the fish dept. She seems annoyed when you need something and always seems too busy in the fried area to help with anything else. My only other issue is the store has been putting more tables with items all over the place making it a ridiculous obstacle. One day, back by the dairy, a whole group of us were at a standstill and no one could move! There were all these crazy tables everywhere that we literally had to move cause of the traffic jam. It used to be smooth sailing. But other than than that, I wouldn't shop anywhere else. I have noticed I've had to bag my own groceries 9/10 times now. I miss the extra help...

So they claim to have a butcher Shoppe "Sam the butcher" but when you go to at 5 on a weekday to get a piece of meat cut lo and behold they have no Butcher on duty he gets off at 4 for the manager this happens once or twice a week "it's just the way it is" .. Then you go to the prepared food section at 6:50 in the evening and it's all cleaned up ask the manager oh we were slow so I allowed them to clean up early even though it says we close at 7.. Kind of look like you go to the bank and the teller would say already put my money away or the bank manager went home early so unfortunately you're out of luck Way to go Big Y
