Mark takes the time to explain ways to maintain your upright bass after you buy it, and goes above and beyond to do so. Gave me a wooden "bridge guide" to show where the bass is set up for the bridge to be properly, and to keep so I can check and make sure the bridge doesn't bend or float too far up.

Mark was great and got back to me right away when I called. He has a great selection of quality upright basses and a full luthier shop. I was able to buy a quality beginner bass at a reasonable price. It was worth it for me to travel 2 hours from Boston to buy from Mark's shop!

Mark is a true artist when it comes to helping a player get the sound that he needs. He was always very patient with me, and listened well to what I needed. He is a very good diagnostician and carefully corrected whatever was wrong with my basses. I recommend him highly.

I brought my F5 mandolin to Mark for a problem with the pegs. He tinkered with the instrument and made it work, something any other shop would have turned away. I'm very happy to recommend Mark Leue to anybody who has a stringed musical instrument that needs set up or repair.
