Went to get gas, asked for the amount on the screen at the pump, then didn’t fill. Went to go inside, but it was closed. Sign on the door said they closed on Sundays so the pumps were shut off and it wouldn’t fill. Why would they put the sign on the door and not on the pumps where people were paying? Ridiculous charge and just a bad practice.

We had a slow leaking tire. We stopped in to just have it checked and they were able to fix the leak and had us going very quickly. Very nice and competent.

The car needed to be inspected in MA so we made a road trip to Williamstown with our two dogs. The inspection went well, as one would expect. The big surprise was how this full service station welcomed our dogs. They have an extra large dog bed in the waiting area and the attendant offered water and a bowl. This was so far above and beyond what we might have expected. Thank you Carpinello!!! You are The Best!!!

I've officially ended my year-long odyssey at Carpinello's this month. It started out with what I thought would be a simple tire patch. But a few days later the same tire needed another patch. Oh, and a new front left TPMS sensor. A few months later I thought I'd take the car there for an oil change, since it's closer than my preferred garage. Oh, but then I needed new rear brakes. I did have them replace the brakes, but I got a new parking brake that I did not ask for in the bargain. I wish I had gotten a second opinion. About 2 weeks later the new right rear caliper completely oxidized. They then reportedly put a new one on. It oxidized again shortly thereafter. When I took the car back I got, "What do you want us to do about it?" Sensing defeat I said, "Just be aware that it's rusted after about 3 weeks." Fast forward to about 9 months later and another oil change. But oh, the battery needs to be replaced, and so do the 3 remaining TPMS sensors. I said that I didn't ask for the battery to be checked. No I did not want the battery to be replaced, nor the sensors. They also said that the motor on the rear window wiper that I'd asked them to look at needed to be replaced. Sensing (no pun intended) something amiss with the sensors, I took the car to the dealer, who, by the way, fixed the rear wiper (not needing a new motor) at no charge. They said that the 2 front sensors (including the one that Carpinello's had replaced less than a year earlier) needed to be replaced. In the mean time, I took the car back to Carpinello's because the right rear brake was running hot, and had started to make a screeching sound. I asked them what the warranty on calipers was and they said it depends. The preferred garage has a lifetime warranty on calipers. Carpinello's replaced the caliper yet again, they said, and otherwise the rear brakes were 'fine.' But oh, my front brakes need to be replaced. I declined. I took the car to the preferred garage, had them install new stems on the 2 front tires, having decided to forgo the expense of new sensors, live with the TPMS light on all of the time, and monitor my tire pressure with (gasp) my own two eyes, since the car is 10 years old. I also asked them to check the brakes. ALL brakes were 60% worn. This, to me does not constitute needing new brakes. However it is unacceptable that the rear brakes that Carpinello's is said to have installed were 60% worn after one year with less than 10,000 miles on them. Oh. And the 3rd rear right caliper that has supposedly been replaced during this odyssey rusted out after a week. I wonder if they just sanded it off and put it back on. Groundhog day is over.

While visiting Williamstown, my ailing car refused to start. The dealer I bought it from was a friend, willing to fix it or take it back. I had the car towed to Carpinello's, having been told it was a family-run repair shop. I explained that I'd like to get it running if possible but by no means wanted to undertake expensive repairs. When they failed to get in touch with me in the course of the day, I went to the shop and stayed in the waiting room for several hours to make sure I was available to discuss the work, but I never got more than vague reports about what was up and never had the chance to speak with the mechanic directly. In fact they simply replaced parts until they found what was wrong, and presented me a bill nearly three times what I had set as a maximum. When I protested, the owner was rude, vulgar, and ultimately threatening--said he would yank the new parts out of the car and leave me push it off his property. With no idea what to do (I've never had so unpleasant an experience with a merchant) I called the local police. The officer I spoke with told me that the shop had a bad reputation and suggested another garage. Ultimately I signed the car over to them rather than pay the bill, which was more than what I had paid for the car. In a final indication of the ethics of the operation, the owner's wife said as I filled out the paperwork that the good news was they wouldn't have to disclose to a potential buyer that the car failed emissions because of the way they obtained it.I don't go around trashing people--I think this is the only bad on-line review I've ever written--but I've never been so badly treated by a business. This happened some time ago, but the management is still the same.

I scheduled an appointment with Devon who was very helpful and willing to ensure quality service. On when I called to follow through with my appointment, Brad said he wouldn't inspect my car per he was "cleaning shelves." I was counting as I was traveling that day on this inspection and had been very inconvenienced through this inability of Brad to follow through the appointment. I do not recommend Sunoco Williamstown

Went in for inspection.. was told I needed to fix my ebrake, that had just been fixed... kept the car at the shop over night, did not get the car back until the next day due to lack of parts... 380 dollars in labor and 38 in parts later my car has passed inspection. Never again.
