“Had an excellent experience with PODS for my move from FL to MA. The price was lower than I expected (note: I did intentionally schedule mid-Sep instead of during the May to early Sep busiest moving season). The rep who helped me schedule my service explained everything thoroughly, including the incremental payments across the move (you pay at each stage along the way: drop of, pick up, and then final drop off/removal).I used Hire A Helper to schedule movers with PODS loading experience to assist with loading/unloading on each side of my journey ... both crews were excellent and my stuff arrived safe and sound.My departure location was a suburban neighborhood with ample driveway space for the POD. My relocation spot though was an urban area with no clear place to put the POD. I ended up reserving 3 metered parking spots on the street. This took a bit of advanced coordination to secure proper permits (container permit AND a street parking permit) ... my only complaint in the experience is that the PODS rep I spoke to said they didn't provide the surety bond that the city parking agent required. However, the city parking agent found a copy on their records from previous POD deliveries ... so, PODS dropped the ball on that one thing. AND, the PODS driver who had to navigate the POD into the metered spots was a ninja! (TIP: Only needed one spot for the actual POD but I reserved 3 spots to allow room for the POD, for the POD truck to maneuver during drop off/pick up, and for the movers to have space to unload)Every other aspect of my PODS experience was really smooth and seamless. I was very pleased (and relieved!) by how it all went.”
