“I took my Mazda 3 to 1 Fine Auto today as my car was making a lot of noise while driving. I had to hard stop near the Winchester high school before picking up my daughter since a policeman had flashing lights and basically cut me off on a one-way street. After that incident, the noise started. I was worried it was a damaged axel. Thankfully 1 Fine Auto was nearby and I met Jim who was very nice. I got lucky that they weren't too busy so they could take a look. It end up being the front rotor disk that basically got dislodged. Very scary. They were able to order new brake pads and rotors and fix on the same day within a few hours. I was very appreciative of Jim and the guys who fixed my car. I am a resident of Winchester and have noticed this automotive repair shop before as they are always busy when you drive by it on Main Street. It is a hidden gem so I had to leave this review so others can check them out. Great customer service and reasonable pricing. Will check them out again when I need additional service for my vehicles.”
“Came in with my 01 Honda crv to change my ball joints thinking they needed to be changed however the mechanic was very upfront and honest with me and told me I did not need to change them and showed me there was no play. Appreciate them first time coming here and will definitely be back for honesty!!!”
“I blew a tire on 93N and exited. After an hour AAA never came. I checked Google Maps for a tire shop and Mr. Fran was 1 block away. I walked over there and told Mr. Fran my situation. He was very helpful and nice. I dragged my 2002 Grand Cherokee on its rim to the shop. He assured me he had the tire and after some digging in the crates...he finally found one nearly brand new.
Mr. Fran did a great job, gave me some tire education, quoted me a great price, and he's an honest man. A kool dude and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“Took my Corvette to Herb Chambers 3 times for the engine misfiring..After the 3rd visit they told me it was the transmission and to take it to a transmission mechanic in Wakefield. Within 1 hr the transmission place told me it was fine. Took it to essex County auto repair. They did a tune up in one day. Car runs like new and they did it at a excellent price. The dealership should be embarrassed,they couldn't fix the car. They had it for 3 weeks.. can't say enough about essex, thank u for fixing my car.”

“Julio was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, coming up with a quick fix for my Camry gas cap door. It’s been a faulty design from the manufacturer with a weak spring which causes the gas cap door to not open at times especially during the winter. Julio replaced it with a much stronger spring, almost immediately right after I dropped off my car. Just an example of how resourceful they are in resolving problems. Highly recommend!”
“this guys is an absolute gem. I took my truck to two different shops both telling me I needed a new transmission. One even quoting me $3k. I took it here for one more opinion after hearing such good things about them. We went for a quick ride he scanned it and found out it was just a bad TP sensor. I bought the part on the way home for $40 bucks and behold the tranny and everything was shifting and running fine again! Dude saved me a lot of $$$$. I will absolutely use them again and recommend to everyone.”

Called them when my transmission suddenly died and the office was very helpful …. Vinny looked at the truck 2 days before they said they could look at it. Even better I was told 2-3 weeks out for the rebuild and it was completed in less than 10 days. Diagnostic was free…..

I checked the tools that came with the car and the spare tire thinking that something had come loose. After three days I decided to look for a mechanic on Yelp. This shop had the best ratings, and, deservedly so. I dropped the car off in the afternoon, received a comprehensive computerized analysis of current and potential problems. The shocks and struts in the rear of the car were replaced by early the following afternoon. Totally professional and super friendly!”

“Great experience with GPS to replace a clutch on a F56 MINI Cooper. Car had been towed to a different shop (specializing in retail services). Marc spent the time with me on the phone to walk through the repair and provide a much more reasonable quote. I would not have held them to the quote given that they had not put eyes on the car, but the final invoice was consistent. They also worked with us to get the car into the shop before a snow storm essentially storing it until it could be worked on. Repair was done on-time, for the cost quoted, and car works great again.
