Sangar General Store is a charming and welcoming place located along Route 9 in Berkshire County. Known for its delicious, homemade samosas that are hot, flaky, and perfectly seasoned, the store is a hidden gem for both locals and travelers. The owner is friendly and kind, providing great hospitality and even making sandwiches that help visitors reach their destinations, such as on long bike trips. The store has vintage creaking floors and a good selection of items including ingredients for s'mores, lighter fluid, charcoal, craft beer, and spirits. Visitors appreciate the warm atmosphere and the unique experience of seeing women playing mah-jongg in another room. Whether stopping by for tasty treats or essentials, guests often find this small, quaint store to be a delightful and supportive place, especially appreciated by those passing through on adventures like the NEBDR.
The samosas are amazing but the owner is the real treasure. So accommodating and friendly.

Always friendly service. Smaller place but great to pop in to grab a drink before a trip or some beers on our way to a gathering. Have had some nice luck with lotto there.

I have had samosas from Biratnagar to Boston. These are the best.
