It's hard to find good reliable meat market's like this nowadays. I have McKinnon's Meat market to thank, they helped me find everything I needed and even offered some other options that might be better! “I’ve been meaning to stop into Savenor’s for ages, and finally made it in after scoring a hard-to-find Too Good To Go bag. The staff was friendly and the bag itself felt promising - it was heavy. Unfortunately, when I got to the car and looked inside, it was a produce bag and everything except a single russet potato and a small ficelle was rotting. The main item was a five-pound butternut squash that had was mushy at the top. It was a real disappointment.
I did end up purchasing a boutique-flavor Jeni’s ice cream, but overall the shop didn’t leave a great impression. I live less than half a mile away and had hoped this would become a regular stop, but the experience missed the mark for me.”

“First city meats is the best butcher shop in the Boston area. Incredible selection of local beef, chicken, pork, etc.
I have gotten custom cuts I have never tried in my life here. The beef is some of the best I’ve EVER had in my life. Incredible sausages as well. You really can’t go wrong here, just an incredible local business selling excellent quality products. Every time I’ve gotten something, my guest say it’s the best they’ve had.

“Went here back in November with my big Sister, who was going to prepare some Oxtails & Pidgeon Peas and rice for me. This is an interesting place, although my Sister was telling me we used to come here all the time for meat when I was younger.
This is a butcher shop like on a wholesale level though, nothing fancy and they have a plethora of seasonings for said meat as well. Ethnic rice to purchase too!
According to my big Sister the prices were competitive if not better than the local grocery markets. It can be confusing to find as it is in an Industrial warehouse area but don't fret - they have all your meat needs covered.

“The best chicken cutlets - perfectly sliced and trimmed - I only want cutlets from Sulmona! And the Roastacciini - lamb skewers are the best - must have for any bbq or pizza party. WE LOVE THEM, cant get enough, highly recommend and purchase from here beginning of every summer. Now that I know about the cutlets may have to go back more often!! YUM!!”

He is so informative and if he doesn't have with him, he will kindly conducts us to the best options for individual needs.It's super close from Orange Line stop Roxbury Crossing of MBTA, just across the street and walk left to the store on your right. 66 MBTA bus also goes there. It's quite treat, besides meat, I take Moroccan Fish Can, Turkish Coffee and surprise items.Amazing Goat, Lamb, Chicken, Beef and....freezer had fish too, I can not wait to try all more.
