I am very disappointed with the customer service that a citizens bank employee named Balvina had with my business associate. We’ve been customers of citizens bank for more than 10 years. All of our accounts activity is in the records. My business associate has a driver's license from out of state. Recently, he changed his address in the bank's system to a MA address. We wanted to open a business account and when she requested our IDs, Balvina asked why my associste didn't have a Massachusetts driver's license. To which he replied that he would process it later. Her second question was, when?Is she an immigration agent? We try to explain to her that the address in the system is the current one in Massachusetts. How? She asked, If this account has been opened since 2012. Even though we explained that my associate lived in another state and returned, there was no reason she would understand and we felt very discriminated against. My husband raised his voice asking her why she came up with those questions. To which she replied that it was for security. Security as an immigration officer? She should be asking in a different way not focused on his legal status. Even though, the business address is a different of the personal. We are very upset, we decided to leave the branch. Hopefully they take care of this type of actions in the future because it seems that they do not have space for immigrants. This type of behavior is unacceptable. We know we have bad days sometimes, but she never stepped back on her behavior, she didn’t apologized. We are immigrants, I own a restaurant I know how people can act, when they assume their privilege.

Called four times in a row during hours of operation and was I repeatedly ignored. One time a representative answered the phone put it down and just left it there... slimey.

I'll admit I don't have a bank account at Citizens, though my employer issues payroll through them. Stopped in to cash my check, was told this would be undoable because... get this... a major bank in a wealthy town doesn't have access to 8 cents. 8 cents. Really????

I went to this branch to inquire about a Home Equity loan of an estate. The people there were either inept or simply refused to provide me the information I required. I resorted to going to a branch in a more affluent neighborhood. They were able to provide with the information in short time. I will NEVER deal with this branch in the future.

Walked in to deposit $700 in cash. Line out the door, manager of the branch sitting in her office with the lights off. Decided to use the ATM, which proceeds to eat my $700 cash deposit. Get back in line to wait to speak to an agent (Teresa-who was very nice and apologetic about the wait and my situation). They said it was a fault of the machine and there was nothing they could do about it. Manager shooed me off as if there was nothing wrong.I live in a very small town. Without my knowledge, a person that was in line behind me, ended up writing about the interaction on an online forum. The comments from the towns members make it seem like this is an ongoing issue with the management and the ATM…. Why is the ATM still available if it is constantly malfunctioning?

It was after reviewing my online account information and finding transactions I had not made I called my local branch here in Winthrop. I spoke with Stacey Brevo by telephone explaining what I noticed and Stacy suggested come right in and freeze both debit cards and get new debit cards assigned. I am saying at that point it was the last thing I really wanted to have to go through. In saying that I figure it was going to be a long and never ending situation.I went down to the branch was assisted right away by Stacy and what I anticipated being a long and a bit of a hassle turned out to be a quick and painless process. Stacy assistance from start to finish I was shocked how quickly it took in getting my new debit cards and how the overall experience went. I was so thankful for Stacy. This branch is always such a wonderful place to visit when not being able to handle business online or at the ATM. The entire staff especially Stacy was outstanding.

First impression on the employees none of them professional, went there to open a new account the invitation says “come in to your nearest branch” and they said you need appointment the second thing while I’m waiting for my turn they give Priority to other person behind me to open new account as well, never go there again.
