A+ Service! I highly recommend The Civic Center. Lenny is a top notch repairman and an honest mechanic. When you meet him you can tell, he is a down to earth guy. I run a carpet cleaning business, so if my vehicle goes down, I loose money. He specializes in Honda and Toyota, but he can fix just about anything.

Lenny (aka the Civic Center) has moved to Malden. I'm not sure if he works at two location, but I always brought my car to him in Malden. I have since moved out of state and am sad that I couldn't bring Lenny with me. He is the nicest and most honest mechanic I have ever worked with. The first time I brought my car in I thought I had an electrical problem. Both of my headlights went out at the same time and a spare bulb I had didn't work. I took it in to Lenny and after about 15 minutes he came back and told me that my bulbs blew. Apparently, my spare bulb was also bad. He only charged me the price of a pair of new bulbs. No labor costs! Seriously cheap and he didn't seem pissed that I was a numb-sack for bringing my car in for blown bulbs. The second time I brought my car in I had some starting problems. Lenny found the problem right away and quickly changed out the parts for much less than what I would have paid elsewhere. (I have a mechanic friend in Hawaii that I called and even he said that the repair was cheap!) When I went to pick up the car, Lenny handed me my GPS that I left on the dashboard. He took the time to take out the GPS because he didn't want someone to break into my car to steal it. What a guy! It's been about 10,000 miles since I've had the repairs and I haven't had any problems. I drove my car from Boston to Phoenix and I haven't heard any of the clunking sound that Lenny fixed on my third visit to the Civic Center.

Lenny is the ONLY person who touches my car, period. He is HONEST and knows what he is doing. You will NEVER leave the Civic Center without a proper diagnosis of what's wrong with your car and how much it will cost to fix. You know that sinking feeling you get when you walk into a dealer's service department and you smell the stale coffee and see the people waiting in chairs with that glazed look on their face? Yeah, that doesn't happen with Lenny. I wish Yelp had 6 stars to give!!!

The absolute ONLY place I will take my car. I will only buy a car that Lenny will service. I had a civic with 136,000 miles and it worked like a swiss watch since Lenny was the only person to ever put his hands on it or in it. I would still have it today if someone didn't total it. What brand did I buy 2 days later? A Honda because Lenny will take care of it. He is truly a one-of-a-kind mechanic because he is HONEST. I've never had anything less that a perfect experience with Lenny and there is nothing he can't fix. My only gripe? He's in Winthrop and the hours are not family friendly. I woould love Saturday hours (just for oil changes?) or one late night during the week. That being said, I would drive anywhere for his service.

Lenny is the kind of mechanic you hope to find once in a lifetime! This man is helpful, kind, and HONEST!!! We have been bringing our ten year old Toyota to Lenny for four years and he always has a way to help us out while stay within our budget. Our driver side seat broke last summer and he recommended a used parts place in Lynn where we found a seat for $100 (a new seat from the dealer was $800). (We previously had to have a bass amp in the back seat propped up against the driver's seat just so I could see over the steering wheel. Not fun and wicked dangerous when you come to a fast stop...saw my life flash before me every time I braked with the thought of the bass amp smashing me into the steering column and then into the radiator...nice) To say I was a little nervous was an understatement. I had an appointment for Monday (it was Friday) to have it installed, but frankly the thing was driving me crazy so I called and asked if I could stop by. Lenny had it installed in 15 minutes with a smile I might add, and I was on my way!!! Totally amazing. I could on and on with stories like this from the last four years. If you need a GREAT mechanic who is also a NICE GUY, Lenny is the man for you!!!
