“Extremely reliable butcher shop, we've gotten pork belly, picanha, and beef they ground right in front of us. Good prices for the quality.

The market has a big variety of products for such a tiny space. Come early while the 'cheesebread' and bread are most fresh.”

“This place is a hidden gem. The staff are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service, making every visit feel welcoming. The food is consistently delicious, and what makes it even better is that you can do some quality Turkish grocery shopping at the same time. Their tea is especially outstanding—definitely worth trying. The location is very convenient, with plenty of parking and easy access. Highly recommend!”

“Great quality, great service, and great food!
My mom gets excited every time they have box sales and sent me to pick up a BBQ box they had. Everything in the pic was $200 and even if it was more the quality is always great. They helped me bring the box out and the prepared food I bought because I didn’t buy lunch was delicious!”

“Shoddy place, good people. This is a small grocery shop with a cooking station at the back. Groceries are mostly Arab style and they also have Halal meat. The food consists of a few dishes made daily and shawarma/sandwiches. Food is decent, nothing to write home about but It's great value.”

“Wollaston's Market is a convenience store and deli on the Northeastern University campus, and it functions as the kind of place that becomes a daily habit for students and staff in the surrounding area. The store covers the basics you would expect from a campus market, drinks, snacks, groceries, and a small pharmacy and beauty section, and does so in a space that is clean and well organized.

The deli is the reason most people make a specific trip rather than just stopping in out of convenience. The sandwich menu runs to around fifty options, which is a serious selection for a campus deli, and the quality across the board is consistent. The bread options include choices like the asiago bagel that elevate what would otherwise be a standard build. Pricing on the sandwiches sits around eight to ten dollars, which is reasonable for the area and the portion size, and the breakfast sandwich selection in the mornings is a reliable start to the day.

Outside of the deli the pricing on grocery items runs higher than what you would pay at a full-sized supermarket, which is the standard campus convenience store trade-off. For emergency grocery runs or drinks and snacks it is practical, but for a regular grocery shop the prices add up in a way that makes it worth planning a trip to a larger store for the bulk of your shopping.”

“Aside from me standing infront of the restroom and being told no public bathroom in the establishment as a construction worker who works on sites sometime where there is no restroom sucked and that alone took one star away but will credit this place for the homecooked inexpensive meals tha churasco plate is a mush have.”

“This is hands down my favorite spot to get fruits, snack, and refrigerated south Asian foods. Most importantly, the hot food bar is to die for. Staff is so friendly and makes great suggestions.”

“I love shopping at Aldi!
the prices are always affordable and truly budget-friendly! fruits are excellent ngl, I even bought a huge bag of grapes, around 3–4 lbs, for about $3–4, which would easily cost $15–18 at other stores. The atmosphere is great, and the meat selection is also wonderful, highly recommend!!
I also love their lilies??”

“Roche Brothers awesome as usual I went in for the things I needed to make homemade shakes and I love doing that because it's a whole lot cheaper making a homemade shake than buying one on the outside! On one little tub of ice cream alone for a homemade shake you could make about five or six shakes out of that thing and I would seem like you only paid a dollar per shake or less that's a great buy and a great deal and I thank God for dealing with me to start making homemade shakes Frozen Gatorades and other things including Frozen pop absolutely amazing what God will reveal to your spirit if we'll just listen! ???”

“(Translated by Google) Brought my Salvadorean boyfriend here after a delicious birthday lunch next door and the selection here was amazing, especially since we do not have most of the products we needed where we live in northern New Hampshire. We also had what was probably one of the best mangonadas I've ever had. Lastly, there was some beautiful, gold-plated and quartz jewelry at check-out that appeared to be hand-made. We purchased a ring and earrings set and it's absolutely gorgeous. We will definitely be visiting again.I brought my Salvadoran boyfriend here after a delicious birthday lunch next door and the selection here was amazing, especially since we don't have most of the items we needed where we live in northern New Hampshire. También tuvimos lo que fue probablemente una de las mejores mangoneadas que he tenido. Por último, en la caja había unas joyas preciosas de cuarzo y chapadas en oro que parecían hechas a mano. Compramos un conjunto de anillo y pendientes y es absolutamente precioso. Sin duda volveremos a visitarles.”

“How refreshing! Shelves are well-stocked, aisles are clean, and there's no weird bleachy smell. I can't find all the things I need from HMart and 99 Ranch is a far drive...I was disappointed by the Chinese grocery I found in Boston but this one is great! Found everything I needed except for pickled mango but that is ok for a Chinese grocery closer to me!”

“*edit: The store is the cleanest market in East Boston. Unlike surrounding markets, you will not find anything out of code and not a mouse or pest inside. Very clean fresh smelling environment.

I've been coming to this store for years even before with the old two owners. The current owner is a very good person and has great fresh produce, the best quality out of all the markets in East Boston.”

“It's a Russian led store, with Russian employees, and mostly Russian customers. The Russian/Slavic goods are authentic, they have wonderful homemade bread, and overall it's a great store. Americans coming here think that the service is rude, and that may be fair by American standards, but in reality the issue is the culture clash.”

3.3 Good145 Reviews

“I didn't encounter any rudeness. Just pleasant people running the store. I source many unusual ingredients for baking at Safy. Mahleb, Mastic, Black sesame seed, orange blossom water and more. Plus a wide variety of teas.”
