I called to make an initial consult appointment with financial advisor Poonam Walia. I asked what the price would be, and the front desk told me the initial hour was free, and that any further cost would be determined by Poonam. They would not give me an hourly rate.
My appointment with Poonam lasted 1.5 hours, from roughly 10:30-12pm. Poonam wasted a lot of time telling me personal stories about herself and her clients. I finally got through my questions and asked her how much I owed her for the meeting. She refused to tell me, saying one thing she liked about her job is that she didn't have to tell people things like that. Poonam also told me several times that a number of her clients have complained because she is too slow.
A couple weeks later, I received a bill by email for $375. When I emailed Heidi Worster to protest, she initially emailed me back to "take the issue up with Poonam, who had told her what to bill". Heidi emailed that it was a bill for a two hour meeting less free half hour. After more back and forth, Heidi agreed to reduce the bill to $250.
I assumed that a company trying to win over long term management of retirement aged client's assets would communicate clearly, show interest in me, and be fair. My experience was that Poonam and Accounting Solutions were not.

Sonal Asthana gave me a very good service right from the time I stepped into the office of Accounting
Solutions at Worcester. She knows her job and responsibility that goes with it.

I recently experienced the loss of my Step-mother of 50 years. She was an amazing woman who married a widower with 9 kids. She also raised nephews and nieces as if they were her own. We grew to love each other over the years and she even named me the responsible party to execute her will.
What could be easier than settling a will with 19 Beneficiaries. Everything! I would rather post about the spineless accountants that she used who stroked me around until I was forced to go to my own personal Accountant, but I want to stay positive!
Sonal, unraveled my mess of paperwork after filing for an extension. We wrapped things up in half the time a crooked law firm could do it! What the State and Feds don’t tell you about the simple process is that there are 3 filings that need to be done and you need at least 3 years to complete the process! Thanks Sonal and Accounting Solutions for being there!

For a simple tax return that took a total of 20 minutes, I was charged $300. I was unaware of this exorbitant fee and would not have kept my appointment. I should have done my own taxes. I'm a degreed professional, I'm pretty sure I could do this myself. My mistake. Also in response to the owner - the software does a lot of it for you, let's be honest here. $300 is way too much and you know it. I'm a single person, in no way would I have agreed to be overcharged if I had known it ahead of time. You failed to advise me of your fees - that is something that should be done EVERY time you speak to a potential client.

I discovered Accounting Solutions online and scheduled an appointment with Juan. However, upon arrival, Juan was occupied with another client and instructed the receptionist from his desk to assign me to Sonal instead. The charges were $50 for my 18-year-old's tax return and $342 for mine, which I found to be on the pricey side.
