They had more vegan options than I thought they would, and several that I hadn't seen elsewhere. We recently moved to the area so despite it being more expensive than Market Basket, this will be our new regular grocery store. (The nearby Price Chopper may do in a pinch, but just isnt as nice inside.)

The last time I want the other prices weren't as high. So I was very selective in what I bought otherwise overall it is a good store, but as I said it's been awhile since I've been there

Super pricey for the quality I only really go because it's convenient but try not to because I somehow spend 50 bucks on only a few things.

Paid 60% more for an item than if I had a store card. Couldn’t scan a communal card. Scummy practice.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this bakery. If you’re considering ordering a cake or any baked goods, I strongly suggest driving to a neighboring town instead of dealing with the unprofessionalism I experienced here.
I recently picked up a sheet cake, and not even a mile down the road, I noticed the writing on the cake was smudged. I returned to the store to ask for help, hoping for a simple solution. Instead, the manager—who wore a black chef coat—immediately became hostile and started yelling at me and my mother, insisting it was our fault the cake was ruined. At no point during pickup were we given any instructions on how to transport the cake. In fact, I had cleared out my entire trunk to safely place the cake, which was made for 100 people. When I calmly explained this, she rolled her eyes and told me I should have held the massive sheet cake on my lap. Completely unreasonable and incredibly rude.
What made this experience even more disappointing was the attitude. There was no attempt to resolve the issue, just blame and condescension. The manager’s behavior was appalling. I was left in tears—until another employee, who saw what happened, kindly stepped in to help and comfort me. She was compassionate, helpful, and genuinely cared. I even offered her a tip for her kindness, because the contrast between her and her manager was that extreme.
This manager does not represent the values or customer service that Big Y is known for. It’s upsetting to see one person tarnish the reputation of an entire store’s bakery department. After reading other reviews, it’s clear I’m not the only one who’s had a negative experience with her.
I won’t be coming back—and I strongly encourage others to go elsewhere for their bakery needs. Big Y management needs to take a serious look at who is representing their brand. No customer deserves to be treated this way.

Very disappointed! I came right after work to order a cake for my daughter for Sat (today is Thurs) and they turned me down! How much time do you need? I understand it’s a holiday weekend, but whatever happened to customer service going above and beyond for their customers?!

Very disappointed in the Big Y pizza department. It's a good pizza and great quality, but it is rarely made for the requested time. Last time was made 2 hours early and I was told to "reheat as necessary" and this time called in a half hour before I needed it, was told they needed 40ish minutes, and an hour later I showed up and they were just starting with "I just got back from break" and needed another 15 minutes.
Working in the food/service industry for as long as I have, if you say you can have something ready by a certain time, it should at least be cooking when you go to pick it up, not just starting when it should have been done. Things happen, but this was just downright inconsiderate. They aren't even that busy tonight.
I guess at least this time I don't have to reheat my pizza or call someone for an emergency delivery because it's cold. too bad I missed the surprise party I'm hosting waiting for pizza.
