Broken stuff stays broken and antiquated policies stay antiquated (5+ years later.) This bank seems to struggle with the concept of "legal tender." They don't appreciate feedback. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

This is the WORST bank in New England. After pointing to a sign that doesn't explain why they can't help with a simple transaction after a long 5 years as their customer, they tell you to have a great day as you exit. (Like is that condescending or are they d**** ) I did, however, feel bad for the Teller that left her station 5x to talk to a manager 20ft away sitting at an empty desk. (about why they couldn't accept a treasurers check without a hold.) THEY CAN'T. BUT THEY TRIED. So I left and deposited as guaranteed funds at DCU down the road. We all had a good laugh about it ad DCU, but seriously, what is happening here? Disaster. GUARANTEED FUNDS! smh.

If I could give a zero I would. Without a doubt the most incompetent financial institution on the planet. I would keep my money in a sack in my backyard before giving this people a dime. Stay away from this horrible bank.

This Bank In General:: Likes: * Local, proudly servicing the blighted no-mans land between Worcester and Springfield LOL. Locally rooted and stable with about $1.5B in assets, $1B in deposits which is notably higher when compared against other Massachusetts banks with similar footprint and branch count such as Mountain One or Cornerstone. When I choose a local bank, I look at retail footprint, viability/longevity, community involvement and more. Country Bank ticked all the boxes. * Great mobile app. Dislikes: * April 2018 still no chip cards. They say they are "working on it". The plus side to this non-compliance is they can issue a debit card immediately at the branch. * 800 number is live answered by someone causally saying "how can i direct your call". A phone tree would be a quicker, easier and more professional way of getting your call to customer service. Its a little annoying. This Branch Location:: Likes: * Staff is very friendly. They suggest you help yourself to their keurig and have a seat etc. They were very friendly during the account opening process and did not pressure me with the usual up-sells. Dislikes: * Do they get robbed a lot? Everyone is behind glass - even in the account opening process. The parking lot entrance is one way but the entrance to the bank is on the opposite side of the entrance to the parking lot. Im not sure if this is for staff safety or customer safety because of where the drive thru lane is but its awkward.

The clerks at this location I find to be rude. Would never recommend this bank to any business. I wish I could post this place down to a zero. Refuse to take deposit from a business when you come inside. Ludicrous never seen a bank have procedure's can like this.

A Bank with No Fees (as long as you don't do something stupid) and good service? you won't believe it exists. it does. you're not a number, you're a cherished customer. Old School service, and Loving it.
