Appliances department staff and customer service manager need re training. Do not believe what they say when giving you information about extended warranty or returns. They will misguide you with wrong info all around. Even the back end assistant manager manipulated the information to go in Lowes favor. Bottom line, do not believe any information they give you since they are clueless and also check their website for return policy and adding warranties within 30 days of purchase. Have them write it for you on a paper and sign it. I do not trust them anymore. I will take my business elsewhere. I bought many of my appliances from them with no issues before, but my recent purchase was a defective range and they refused to take it back or even let me add extended warranty within the allowed period of 30 days.

All Lowes locations are different. I'm a contractor.so whether it's Lowes or Home depot I am usually in atleast 1 of them no lest than 3 or 4 times per week minimum. So I do notice the differences between different locations, etc.
HD had much better prices on many different items.
My main complaint with the lincoln street location in worcester, ma is that the store is very unorganized. Items are often not in there intended locations(where the matching upc is located).
Quite often lumber and other items do.not.have a upc tag on them so when you get to the register they can't scan it and I will then have to walk across the huge store to take a photo from the shelf where I picked the item and ofcourse by the time I get back to the register they Have let someone elsenin so now I have to get back in line and wait all over again.
Not only that but pricing.
Home depots.prices are much better on comparible items. While they often do not both carry the same exact brands. Even if the 2 brands are different but the product is almost Identical the prices can be vastly different.
Also compare prices of any type of preprimed pine trim or molding wood to preprimed mdf(medium density fiberboard aka Sawdust and glue a very cheap inferior product)
You would think that there would be a decent difference in the price between these 2 items because the quality is so different, but nope the mdf is maybe 10% cheaper than the real wood if that.
I guess there reasoning is that thats the cheapest price of everything so if you buy it you are still saving some money. But to me its basically dishonest becuse they must be making a huge profit margin on the mdf compared to the real wood because the quality difference is so vastly different however the prices are very close to the same.
Lincoln street lowes is 5 minutes from my house so its so much mor convienent to stop in there because I'm driving bynthere anyways but honestly I have come.to the realization that even though Home.depot on goldstar blvrd is 10 minutes further away(and really 20 because I'm usually heading back the other way) its still faster for me to drive the extrs distance to HD becuase everything is clearly labeled, in its correct location & not to mention there prices are quite a bit lower on many items.

Turning my attention to Lowe's, I intend not merely to evaluate the establishment but also to proffer a resolute recommendation. Lowe's, in my estimation, exemplifies the most egregious mismanagement I have ever encountered, particularly when juxtaposed with other lumberyards and hardware retailers. It stands as the most avaricious home improvement store I have had the misfortune to patronize. Were it not for its proximity to my residence and one of my families properties, I would unequivocally refrain from shopping there. A former neighbor, who was once employed at this location, disclosed that the premises are plagued by a severe rodent infestation--a claim I find eminently credible, given that numerous items I have purchased bear unmistakable signs of rodent activity, including gnaw marks and perforations. This individual, whom I had known for two to three decades and whose integrity I never doubted, resigned from his position due to concerns for his health, citing the pervasive presence of rodent excrement. Regrettably, he has since relocated, leaving me to contend with the disconcerting reality of purchasing compromised goods In dealing with incompetent cashiers that gab the night away with other employees pompously ignoring the customers, then lying to a supervisor about their interactions with patrons.
Despite these disquieting revelations, I continue to procure certain items, such as wood pellets, albeit in damaged packaging that is often torn and leaking due to rodent interference. I had been willing to purchase these at a 50% discount, intending to repair the bags and utilize the pellets for combustion. However, the spillage during transport necessitated extensive cleanup efforts within my vehicle also the floor of my residents. On a recent visit, I was informed that the discount had been reduced to a mere 10% or 25%. A cursory comparison reveals that Home Depot offers pristine, undamaged bags at a 25% lower price, rendering Lowe's pricing structure not only unreasonable but also untenable.
On multiple occasions, I have attempted to negotiate discounts on merchandise that is visibly damaged and unsellable, only to be met with indifference. I have resigned myself to purchasing their lumber, which, though suitable for my purposes, is hardly a testament to quality. My Families property is situated less than a quarter-mile from Lowe's, compelling me to occasionally patronize the store for items I cannot readily procure elsewhere In a short amount of time. While their exorbitant prices are somewhat mitigated by the convenience of location, this does little to absolve their myriad shortcomings.
A further indictment of Lowe's is its rampant shoplifting problem. On one occasion, I pursued a thief who had stolen a leaf blower,
And was trying to ram it through the. entrance door on a cart. screaming at him at the top of my lungs. Hey, buddy, that's the entrance, not the exit. A Worcester police sergeant, who happened to be Shopping with his wife on his break being present, he summoned additional units, resulting in the thief's apprehension. The stolen item was recovered after being discarded in the parking lot. The thief, who crashed his vehicle during a low-speed pursuit, was not prosecuted by Lowe's, even though I was prepared to testify as a witness and had written a statement to the police as such. This glaring lack of accountability is both baffling and infuriating.
Equally troubling are Lowe's egregious lapses in security. It is not uncommon for them to leave keys in forklifts overnight. On one occasion, I discovered a forklift and a riding lawn mower concealed behind Stop & Shop, evidently abandoned. Once again, my efforts to return these items were met with indifference from Lowe's management.
In summation, I earnestly advise against patronizing the Lowe's at Lincoln Plaza. Its abysmal management, exorbitant pricing, lack of accountability, and deplo

We have been shopping here since they opened this store and spent thousands of dollars. Lowe's refused a refund on a defective Craftsman leaf vacuum because it failed after 90 days with 20 minutes of use. The leaf vacuum coast was $80, which probably cost them $40. They lost a lifelong costumer over $40. It's no wonder Lowe's sales are in decline!
Non existent Customer service!!!
They don't stand behind their craftsman products at all. Spending my money at Home Depo from now on!!!

Gentlemen of Lowe's, in 2022 I bought a washer and dryer and I was in the store trying to resolve a situation with the item's warranty and you do not have staff that speaks Spanish and can help the customer solve any problem. Please, Latinos are also your customers.

This used to be my favorite place to go for home improvement, appliances, decor & cleaning supplies. You could find almost everything you needed for around your home & at a decent price. However, nowadays will only go as a last option to this store. Perhaps it's the location? I don't know, but they should not assume every person that enters this Lowe's is a shoplifter or a dishonest person.
The lack of respect turns my stomach & just to give you an idea, as I was being helped by one of your associates, he was dispatched on his radio by another associate & asked a very derogatory question right in front of me. If this behavior is going on in plain view I can only blame management for it.
Also, you might want to keep up with your pricing errors & when a customer points it out to your associates showing proof of price error the courteous thing to do is actively review the error instead of providing the customer poor unprofessional service. Left my cart full & walked out.
