Giving 2 stars because they were very nice BUT I went in November for an oil change and they fixed my muffler and didn't change the oil(I did pay $97 for it). I figured this out after my car stalled out last week and they confirmed it was never done on Saturday. So I will not be choosing Monro for any oil changes in the future.

I want to justify my assessment. I brought my first car in to get an alignment done. The mechanic got into my car, in very dirty clothes, he smeared the interior and dirty the steering wheel with oil. Also, when I talked to the person who made the appointment, he was aggressive towards me. The second time I came in a different car, made an appointment a couple of days before the visit, the same worker said that he did not have a mechanic and he could not do anything, he said to come the next day. I arrived but no one was there. That's why I'm leaving this review. Service and relations with people 2/10.

We set an appointment to change the brakes. We were recommended to change the calipers as well. After the service we took the car back and we noticed right away the steering wheel was shaking at over 45mph. We brought it back and they couldn’t find the problem. It was very frustrating. After a while we decided to take it somewhere else bc the brakes were grinding bad. We were told that the caliper was defective. We decided to take it back to monro to fix the problem. After long arguments they fixed it and wanted to charge us for everything. Again, after many arguments they ended up charging us $276.They didn’t want to take any responsibility for putting my family’s life in danger. It’s been the worst experience and I would tell everyone not to go there. You’d expect to get decent service after paying over $2k but it’s not the case. Absolutely the worst place.

who ever spoke one the phone with me was misleading, claiming that the oil change for my car is 39.99, but at the actual appointment i learn that the oil is triple from what i’ve been originally told. the guy at the desk though was very helpful and nice, but i am blaming the man on the phone who gave me false information.

My experience here was okay overall. I usually have all repairs and maintenance done at A-Tech Auto in Shrewsbury, but they are usually very busy (usually worth the wait). I needed a brake job done very quickly, and I live within walking distance of Monro, so I thought I'd give them a try.For convenience—five stars. I made an appointment online over a week before I arrived. I showed up right at my scheduled time (8am) and David was ready to take the car right away.Within a couple hours, they had inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the rear brakes needed pads/rotors. David tried to upsell some other "needed" things. I declined, and there was no fuss about it.David also made a passing comment that they were going to "service" the front wheels (before the other upsells). He said this very presumptively, making it sound like it wasn't really an optional thing, but I circled back and asked him specifically about it. They weren't going to replace anything—just take the components off, clean, and lube the various parts. Had I done the job myself, I would have done this, so I was glad to hear they would do it as a relatively cheap addition to the job. No big deal—you didn't have to try to sneak it in there. That felt pretty salesy.I received a call from David sometime around Noon that the car was ready. Five stars for turnaround time (under 5 hours total). However, when I arrived, David told me they weren't able to do the service on the front brakes because the mechanic (another person) "couldn't get the bolts off" to remove the calipers. I didn't make a big deal about it because it wasn't an "essential" thing that I needed, but I was pretty dumbfounded. The name of the company is "Monro Muffler/Brake & Service." Brakes are literally in the name of your organization—one of the building blocks of your existence—you have every mechanical tool at your disposal—and you can't get the bolt off? Now, I know those things can get pretty locked in, but these brakes were not that old (obviously, they didn't even need repair), and also—you are a brake repair mechanic.I think the real issue was that it was July 3rd, so they had to cut their losses and focus on getting all their jobs done. I would not have even cared if they told me that to my face—totally get it. But you can't get the bolt off? That's pretty ridiculous. So, the convenience and speed of repair were great, but the upsells and bolt-gate made this just an okay experience and a story to tell. The cost for the rear pads/rotors totaled up to $680. Could have saved so much by just doing it myself, but the convenience was worth it for me this time around. There were also greasy fingerprints all over the driver's side door when I got back to the car, and the wheels had lots of extra greasy residue from being taken off and on in the shop. Would have been so simple and easy to quickly wipe those surfaces when you're done. Those little things make a big difference.I don't think I would go back, but I wouldn't tell you not to give them a shot. At the end of the day, they're trying to make a living like everyone else.

I came to Monro out of desperation despite the record number of one star reviews due to their hours and it nearly ruined my life. I was having axle trouble and needed two new ones. They mentioned having a hard time finding OEM replacements for my 07 Accord, but didn't tell me that they'd be installing an incorrectly spec'd aftermarket axle (which they still charged me full price for). Within a week I heard a clunk and parts falling out with vibration. I go back and they say it was just missing wheel weights on my tire, replace them for free and send me back on my way. With in a month my car was nearly undrivable! I take it in to my usual shop, not only was it the wrong axle but it had came loose and caused $2000 worth of damage to the parts attached!! I should have listened to David's technician who said I was going to be ripped off, the yelp reviews and horror stories of doing business here, and my usual mechanic who knew of the stores infamy. I tried calling both the store and the customer service line. David pushed the blame all on his techs and me and "he said she said" only to give the excuse it's up to his district manager for a refund, which I know I won't get. Customer service hung up on me three times and will not call me back either. Anyone getting work done at this shop should have it inspected by a real mechanic after.

Had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation at 8am. I called at 2pm to see if my car was done. I was told he's just started working on it. 4pm i received a call that my car was done. I had a oil change coupon they wouldn't take and they didn't rotate the tires. I won't go back.

My daughter called me after experiencing a flat tire. I removed a nail and tried unsuccessfully to plug the tire. I called Monro Auto and spoke to David Little, the store manager, about my situation. Although it was closing time, he advised me to drop off the tire so he could look at it first thing in the morning and advise me as to repairing or replacing the flat. When I arrived, he evaluated the damage to the tire, and due to the location of the nail hole determined that repairing it would not be an option. He noted that he had the correct size replacement in his inventory, and both he and his technician stayed at the shop after hours so that they could complete the job and save me from having to make a return trip the following day. More importantly, it allowed me to change the tire on my daughter's car the same evening, so she would not have to do any substantial driving on the temporary spare "donut". I felt that the courteous staff at Monro went above and beyond to make me feel valued and to complete my repair in a very timely and efficient manner. I recommend David Little and his staff at Monro without reservation.

David L. and the mechanics at Monro Tires, Brakes and Service were a great help for me getting what I needed done in no time at all when another location just could not get me the guaranteed pricing for my basic oil change. Oil filter, lubrication, battery check, brake inspection, tire rotation and recycling of waste oil were all included clearly in one itemized bill making the whole experience that much greater for my business. I definitely recommend the professionals at Monro.

Great service, knowledgeable technicians. The company now charges a non refundable diagnostic fee so they can avoid being undercut by another shops quote. They inform you of the charge and give you the option to leave if you want to avoid it. Not a reflection on the technicians themselves. It's more of a commentary about corporate policy and fees they charge to stay in business

This was great car repair experience I've had anywhere! I came in after I'd gotten a flat tire on my way home from out of state and got stuck in Worcester, and I was thoroughly in a bad mood. As soon as I entered the shop, it was so late everyone was so energetic and helpful and had excellent attitudes and senses of humor! They really knew what they were doing and provided a very personal experience. thank you so much, guys
