Do not rent anything from this location. I usually use the Belmont Street location but they didn’t have what I needed. So I chose this location instead. I rented a pickup truck from them. When doing the precheck that came through as a text; there was a picture taken by U-Haul with previous damage. The truck had the damage that was in their picture. They called me two days after dropping it off saying that the damage was caused during my rental and says that I owe them for damages that did not occur during my time with the pickup truck . I will not pay them for any of this. Since none of it occurred during my time with the pickup truck. They are trying to scam me and it is not going to work!! Never give U-Haul at 44 Hammond Street, Worcester, MA your service or time of day. Go to Belmont Street and Adrian will give you better and trustworthy service!

Reservations not respected. We had an online pickup reserved, no van assigned. Then we were sent away at the store stating no availability. We went to the Belmont street UHaul and mentioned this, they called up this location and sent us back indicating there was a van for us.And then we got our truck. It took us 1 hour for this whole hassle just for pickup inspite of having a reservation.

Where could i start. My older brothers house burnt down. The little they could save from the fire decided to pick this location to store the things. Employees are rude, unprofessional. The place is INFECTED WITH ROCHES. Opened the unit and over 200 roches including other units have roches running under. Employees giving us the wrong information, and after being told they would cover for everything because the infection (they don’t want to bring those things into the new home). Were told twice they would spray and made us move units. All 2 times full with roches, and now they dont want to pay them when they HAD INSURANCE.Another unrelated story as were there, some lady accidentally by like second gots locked in with her car. Employees completely ignored her, and walked away laughing as she was crying for her car.So unprofessional, careless. And if you have a unit there just look at the floor. All the dead roaches EVERYWHERE.

Arrival was easy, they have a port to pull in and move belongings. The front desk staff- welll .. thats another story. But the process is easy- and access is unremarkable.

Where do I start? The 19.95 rental fee is a joke because you charge almost a dollar per mile AND require the gas tank to be refilled. That in itself is a joke too, because how can I tell when I am filling the tank when it is back to where it started? The tank was only 3/4 full when I got it. The vehicle precheck by text message was extremely annoying to deal with. When I got in the van and started it I got a message that a door was ajar. Took me several minutes to figure out that the sliding side door does not close properly. Then messages kept popping up on the screen saying all the features that were currently not working: Pre-collision assist Not Available; Front Camera Fault Service Required; Rear View Camera not available. I also got a Low Tire Pressure message; the pressures on the four tires were 80; 56; 56; 36. Outrageous! There was a small amount of trash and a pill on the floor of the cab that I didn’t notice when I was filling out the precheck text. And, unbeknownst to me until I was on the road, the passenger side view mirror was completely folded in. (Granted, I probably should have checked the mirrors, but why in the world would I expect the mirror to be folded in?). All told, my “$19.95” rental cost me approximately $70, for a vehicle that was inappropriately maintained at best, and potentially dangerous at worst.

It's surprisingly very easy to rent a truck, although I recommend reserving if you need one because this locations seems to be very busy. The staff were extremely helpful, kind and funny.

They helped my friends and I to be able to move their goods from one place to the next with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. The cost was very reasonable to rent one of their trucks for the day.The vehicles they have are well kept and not at all difficult to drive around. It was a laid back time and helpful being able to load so much stuff per the 2 trips we took with it.

Josh was such a big help by assisting me in figuring out a smaller payment to get my things out from the storage unit. I am very satisfied.

Kind of expensive and I do not like how you can't change your due date for storage. Or if u CAN...it took 3 months then I left anyway so that was an extremely long time...HOWEVER, Ike, the manager, did help me at the end and him n my mother got along in the beginning when we were renting a truck and unit so he is a decent guy hence why I gave 4 instead of 3 stars. The tan dude w glasses was lacking in personality for sure but he was at least Somewhat professional I guess.

Arrived at 9:45 to pick up a trailer reserved for 10am. Staff couldn't find the trailer, tried giving us a smaller trailer for the higher price. Finally got the trailer we reserved and paperwork done at 11:15am. Returned the trailer at 4:20 pm and then after we left, they charged our card for an extra day because it wasn't returned by 4pm. The fact that they delayed us over an hour picking it up doesn't matter that we were 20 minutes late returning it.

They need to pick up the phone and keep their requirements simply stated. I rented a storage facility from them, I got my stuff out already, and I went to go cancel my bill before the renewal, and now I've gotta come in!? I could've canceled via calling or the app but yinz don't quite get their story straight. I would like to see improvement. If I get another bill because I've been trying to cancel, I won't be happy.

Please take a moment to let us and other customers know how we did.Rate Your ExperienceWe value you as a customer and hope you will continue to use us for all your future moving and storage needs.Thank you,Ike McBrideU-Haul Moving & Storage at University Square44 Hammond StLol I feel harassed, the contract claims to respect my email and my rights to my account creation but why have the emailed me six days ago but don’t respond to my calls to 24 hour access help? It makes no sense to expect me to help you with reviews, when word for word you can’t even obide a simple contract. “Sad to see me go.” I haven’t removed any of my stuff yet or found another location for security and safety of my belongings because clearly harassment stays a big issue in this world of constant war between effective or non effective businesses. What works for you might not work for everybody that’s why I say to read and read carefully when signing agreements. By request though here is another coelina consultation and review. Will be trying to call in regards to patranoge of my experience and let everyone continue to know the truth behind the scenes. I hope I don’t have to remove my stuff without notice it sounds like they are trying to steal by using surveillance… and clearly attacking my email with multiple attempts to make me agree or disagree to subject matters.

I called this location at noon and spoke to Brian. I said I was coming to pick up a u box and Brian I formed me they closed at 7. I arrived at 419 to THEN find out their was noone forklift certified after 4pm. Information I should have received at noon. As a truck driver the laws did not work in my favor and I was stuck there until 7am. Had I been informed at noon that 4pm was the cutoff time I would have planned accordingly. Kristine was very sympathetic to Brian's mistake and even called the manager to see if he could come back since he had only been gone 19 minutes. Manager said no. Assistant manager Ike the following morning was very friendly dly helpful and sympathetic. Both apologized for Brian's incompetence. Brian took 0 accounta ility for the lie. (Which is docume Ted on my dash cam and uhaul records all calls.) I will still do business with uhaul SOLELY on Kristine and Ikes professionalism. However the manager not being accountable for Brian's incompetence and Brian himself being afraid to be accountable table tells me Brian needs a new line of work and Ike and Kristine need a promotion. The ignorance of Brian took money out of my wallet and food off my families table. In the non corporate world life would not have been as kind to Brian as I was. Alas. Good thing it was in a corporate setting with a person as calm as myself.Kudos to Ike and Kristine. Brian needs a job not dealing with humans.
