You have to be so careful in this store, Alanson MI. There are carts with inventory blocking aisles ALL the time. They block inventory on the shelves in over half the store. If you try to move one, a haphazard display falls. You can barely walk down an aisle with a cart because stuff is just stacked up waiting to be put away. I'm surprised nobody has fallen and sued yet. The clerks are mostly rude. Don't ask for help trying to find something in that hot mess maze because you will get a why are you bothering me attitude and an audible sigh. Sorry that you need to do your job and assist customers. But I'm not sorry. The self checkout is STILL broken so you have to squuze a dog chew toy to let them know you are waiting at the checkout. But dont squeeze it more than once because you will get yelled at. They were stocking the cooler area and an elderly woman walked by in tears because the manager yelled at her for trying to reach something behind an inventory cart. I asked if she was OK and she said these people do not treat customers nicely at all and if the manager cares, they would be nicer to paying customers. My bf tried to get it for her and also grab what he needed and got screamed at as well. He put the items down and now refuses to go back. I get it, you have to restock and it is probably a crap part of the job but venting on your customers is just shameful. So many times we have walked in and you can hear them chatting and laughing in the office, nobody on the floor, when there's boxes and carts stacked everywhere, maybe less socializing and more work would turn that around? It's a mess all the time there. Clerks stand right outside the door and smoke so thats the first thing you smell walking up to the doors. Needless to say, we will drive an extra ten miles to go to Family Dollar. It's clean, there's room to move and you are always greeted with a smile.

Love going there. Some of the cashier's don't seem to be people oriented as well as some of the others. But everyone is friendly and helpful.

Never know if they will be open. Very disappointing. Make sure you have a backup plan if this stop is in your list for the day.

Hours aren’t followed as posted. I have been there many times at the posted opening time of 8am with the door locked and no sign of people. It’s also been closed mid day at 5pm with no signage. Very unreliable. I wish we had another option close by!

The last two times I've been there my card was rejected this don't happen at any other store in the area. I'd have to be desperate before I shop there again. The store is always under stocked and trash everywhere.
