I knew what the problem was with my car, the rocker arms went bad on it. Had a simple ticking noise. Common for these engines. I took it to bobs auto first to get a quote. Then took it to clates. Larry himself took me to junk it. Without looking at, without listening to it. "It's junk". Took it to a reputable dealer. Fixed it for for cheaper than Bob's. If you didn't want to or didn't know how to fix it, just say so. Wouldn't recommend this place.....

I had an excellent experience here getting my car repaired, I really liked how the problem was fully explained to me and shown to me. I feel confident that they are good people who are honest, I will definitely return in the future if I have any more repair needs. Thanks guys my car was the chevy cruze 7-27-21

Never take your car here! I needed new front struts for my car and they replaced it with what they said was a brand new assembly for $750. But it was far from new, the problem was never fixed and they did the least amount of work possible and still hit me with a high bill. I then took it to a real professional and they said the struts are old and used and poorly put together so Clates ripped me off of $750, and I had to get them replaced again by someone who actually knows what they are doing. They also scratched up the front of my car pretty good and when asked about them they denied it and took zero responsibility, but I know every scratch on my car and the struts themselves were very beat up and looked like they beat them with a metal hammer until it fit. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle to a real professional these guys are scammers and don't respect anyone's property.

Larry and his staff are more then willing to go out of their way to complete any project or car issues that you may occur . More then helpful. Great guy . I have friends that own shops but prefer larry.

Haven't taken too much work to them because they are always busy and can rarely, if ever, get one or two day repair service. That being said, Larry is honest, fair priced, and does good work which I believe is why they are always so busy. It just sort of sucks that when you need repairs it is always at least a 2-5 day wait to get it done, but I guess that is because they are a good shop and people are basically lined up to get their vehicles in.
