Helena and the rest of the front desk and drive thru staff are absolutely amazing! It's an OK credit union overall. I recieved on this rating someone asking what they could do to make it 5 stars! They left a generic 800 number to call. As a "service provider" you've had 3 years to impress me. And ya don't. My stuff gets deposited and withdrawn that's it.Replying to LCMU for commenting on my review:Your loan department has communication issues, your credit lending services don't offer me anything EVER! When I complained about the app, I was then advised to use the website! I wasn't complaining about your website! You want a 5 star review, act like a 5 star business. How about better paid tellers? How about enough employees to actually fill all the service windows, when needed? How about you actually, personally, reach out to your customers? If you wanted to do better, you would. But instead you pay money for other companies to take surveys of your service, which is just a waste of money, our money, you could just ask us yourself! And then still nothing changes. I could use all sorts of financial tips, and services, but I get that elsewhere, from people who care about me and my finances. Thanks for making my compliment sound like a downer, insulting the people who did the amazing job that inspired me to make a review. And shame on you, whoever, who wants to be critical at less than perfect scores, when you're less than perfect!.

Have never had such caring customer service in my life forgot to transfer money for a mortgage payment due to my wife having our second baby. Called them to see if they could try to take it out again and they put 50 bucks in my account and told me congratulations on the baby literally put me in tears it's the little things GREAT company

This is the worst credit union I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with a handful of credit unions. It probably has to do with the fact that their employees probably attend Grand Valley State University which I know (better than I care to) is in fact a breeding ground for soulless slaves and also funded and run by the spawn of the Nephilim. Keep your money and your self far away from Lake Michigan Credit Union and Grand Valley State.

By far the worse credit union I have encountered. I was scammed out of $3700 and they didn't get me back one penny of my money. They kept saying it's because I authorized the payments. I was threatened over the phone about being arrested and loosing everything I own. I talked to theguy at the credit union and he told me not to worry, I would get my money back. Well I didn't get ANYTHING back. I have been struggling financially ever since. I am a member of the army and I would think they would help me better than what they did. I don't know what policy they have for their members and scams, they act like they don't have one at all. I feel like any other bank would have gotten my money back for me. Very disappointed in the way they treat their members during scams

Got a new work truck and financed it through LMCU. I went there to make my first payment ( drive thru) and it was taking an unusually long time and the place wasn't busy at all. Finally she came back to the window and informed me that I had won their act of kindness award and they are making my payment for me. I was like are you kidding me? WOW !! Thank You!! Just wanted to let them know I appreciate that kind gesture and will be doing more business with you in the future. Thanks again! Jim Shultz
