Bay View Park is a very clean and well-maintained park, described as beautiful and picturesque. It is a favorite for its beautiful view of Lake Huron, pier, and relaxing walks along the water where visitors can watch wildlife, fishermen, and sailboats. The park features a big playground, tennis and basketball courts, an outdoor amphitheater or bandshell, and a picnic area. It is a nice park for events and is dog-friendly, requiring leashes. The marina and easy access to downtown are noted. Some visitors mention excellent gourmet hotdogs and food available. A drawback is the lack of indoor restrooms, with only porta johns and no hand washing station.
Beautiful place, was down there for Art on the Bay. There were many venders and food . They also have clean large restrooms down there. There is a playground for kids and close enough to walk to the boat harbor or shopping. It is dog friendly and you can picnic there.
