Customer service was polite however everything else is a pain. They did not mention that there's an installation fee of 200$ for an electric car . So it's funny they say no hidden fees on their website. The device was faulty two days after install. 5 days after , the red lights were going off and I had to schedule an appointment to get it fixed. When I called their office to get an appointment for removal, they wanted me to wait 2 weeks to get it removed . After asking to get a sooner date, they were able to "find an open spot" for an earlier date.

If you end up needing an IID, this place is the best to go. They have wonderful customer service and they are always on time and efficient. I'm the unfortunate event of a DUI, they make your life a little easier.

Unfortunately I needed to use their services. The device was originally installed poorly and caused issues with my fairly new vehicle, my car stopped starting in the middle of summer. I had to have my vehicle towed to the dealership which is quite costly and come to find out the problems stemmed from the device. The diagnosis cost me over $200 and after over four months, I have yet to be reimbursed from this company after being promised I would multiple times. I finally got in contact with Tony after he deliberately ignored my situation for 4 months, & never responded to my emails after I sent in the receipts. He yelled at me on the phone, talked to me condescending & unprofessional, told me it's not his problem & then hung up on me. (I found out this was typical behavior for him) I recommend anybody that needs these services to avoid Life Safer at any cost, I also informed my attorney to stop referring this company to his clients in the future. They will nickel and dime you, and potentially cause damage to your vehicle with zero repercussions. (I attached the invoice from the dealership telling me the device was causing issues to my car, while Tony still claims they're not accountable)

This is the worst place!!!After being charged over 400.00 $ they can't even jump my vehicle and are making me call a tow company. I haven't been this miss treated ever from over charging me to just plain rude people. If you have a choice go somewhere else. The office manager who I spoke with yesterday acted like he was some kind of cop. So accusatory and with zero de-escalation skills.I will be disputing all charges

If you have to get an interlock I highly recommend this place! Unlike the other companies this place is straightforward and no hidden fees. No charge for recalibration only the monthly fee which you can do bimonthly or monthly.

This company is extremely unprofessional. Gave me an unsigned document 920, which the Sacramento DMV would not accept so I brought in a copy to the local DMV and it still wasn't acceptable. The employee who issued the 920 was let go and his oversight became the customer's fault? Tony the power hungry supervisor then says I'm a liar and strong arming the supervisor after they "corrected" a mischarge. This discrepancy cost me another 16$ which supervisor Tony says is very minuscule. Maybe for him but not for me when I Pay 60 days in advance . As for Hidden Fees, this is falsely listed and advertised. For him maybe but I've been paying for 2 extra months that I didn't need the device and just paid for my prorated removal date for 12/27. I have a receipt from my location and now I'm getting tacked on surcharge of .40 more a day due to the company's discrepancy or mathematical errors and problems! This company is a joke. I'm extremely disappointed, never had so many issues with customer service or a supervisor at any company. This person Tony should be fired or be talked to about professionalism in the workplace. I'm so upset I'm shaking and in tears. Not a nice word to say for the Lifesafer company or the people who represent them. Tony would not supply a badge number or last name, just unfair treatment of a customer. He is a tyrant and bully of Northern California who misused his power creating a very hostile environment for me- imbalanced power from a Supervisor.

The Sacramento location did not properly reassemble my 2021 Honda passport. Took the vehicle back to be told it's right despite it not being fix. Got in contact with one of there systems specialist Anthony Munoz. Anthony was incredibly confrontational making me feel like I was wrong and lying. Ultimate just took the car to Honda who was nice enough to fix lifesafer's bad work. Avoid this company

This company can NOT be trusted!! Buyers beware please!! My brand new car was damaged and the supervisor and owner denied it ever happened. My car was there in their shop for 5 hours! If you care about your car, take photos They run a bad business they have been sued plenty of times. Now I know why I should of checked Yelp before I choose them the ignition device that was installed was exactly where the damage is. How can the owner David be so oblivious to this it's heart breaking also the supervisor was so rude no one likes the straight facts but my car was less then a month old I have given them every opportunity to fix this am they keep refusing So sorry for them, that's why a big company carries great insurance how could someone argue with a customer. They must care about their reputation.

Watch out for fake fees. $80 this time, $130 next. They claim you have dirty tests but it was not possible in this case. They cut into the electrical system which you would expect, but they destroyed it and then wrapped everything in electrical tape when they pulled it out. The most unprofessional install possible!

RUN AWAY NOW! Do NOT come here. I dont care how desperate you are. They destroyed my Tundra by cutting the electrical, draining the battery, and forcing us to pay for the damages. Then lied and said it was our fault. Ummm... we drove the truck here, and the electrical was working. Even worse, they destroyed the stereo and we were forced to buy another disc to get everything up and running again. The guys at Toyota Elk Grove stated the tech cut the wires and it was obvious upon inspection. Regardless, LifeSafer had their tech come out and do the repair. But because they drained the battery and messed up the radio, we had to pay out of pocket. When we went back 2 months later (because we were forced to stay due to their contract) we were locked out of the truck. We tried to leave at 12pm for our 1pm appt. The truck was locked. After 3 hours of waiting for Jasmine to call us with a code to unlock the truck, and approx 50+ phone calls later, we paid for a tow. We arrived at the shop and the gal there didn't know how to repair the camera. We asked her how she could repair it and she said she didn't know. So we were forced to keep our truck in their shop for 2 days. Monday we got a phone call from Amie telling us that the truck was in the parking lot, the device was removed, and they were cancelling service because I apparently yelled at her. All I asked her was how the f*** am I suppose to get to work??? Her stupid little baby a** apparently got butt hurt by that. What a child!!! So because their employee cant handle a concerned customer, we're now being charged $330 for early cancellation and removal of the device. You seriously cannot make this stuff up! It has been a challenge during an already emotional, scary, stressful time. Yes, we've made mistakes that forced us to seek an interlock system... but we didn't expect to be taken for our money, our time, our peace of mind, our safety, and damage to a very expensive Tundra. Whats even worse, if you demand to speak to a manager they send you to Tony. Tony is rude, disrespectful, condescending, and unprofessional. I cannot urge you enough to never give your business to this scam company full of the most incompetent people I've ever dealt with in my life. Do to the situation they put me in I was forced to hurry and find another company to do the install all over again SUPER smooth install no issues at all. Very respectful and knowledgeable people that don't scam you. I REALL wish I'd have done my homework ahead of time before. Save yourself, your life, your soul... Run away from LifeSafer!

Lifesaver ignition interlock (Chris) agreed to price match Smart Start at $71 per month for monitoring and calibration. I recorded and confirmed that this was all inclusive! Yes, the amount they actually over-charged me was $94.39. They also added $10.80 for "daily loss protection" plan that was neither explained to me or approved by me and charged it to my credit card, in violation of state law. I have contacted them several times, and they admit that their notes show a price match agreement of $71 but cannot or will not abide by that agreement. In addition the interlock unit is malfunctioning/faulty and has (locked me out after a work shift at 4 a.m.), and needs to be repaired, replaced or removed. They want to charge me $150 (nowhere mentioned on website) to remove the interlock, and they charged me $65 to install?? The whole transaction with this Shady Company is a bait and switch with hidden charges!.. Because they know you are mandated by the DMV. It is unfair and unlawful to gouge the customer after the fact! Customers should not incur exorbitant or undisclosed fees due to this company's negligence. They even refused a call back! DMV and Better Business Bureau complaint #15265212 filed!
