Training with A-Team Fitness is the best thing I have done to start living a healthy life through exercise and nutrition. I’ve worked with Alex for several months now and cannot recommend him highly enough. Alex has the perfect balance of being able to push you to get the most out of your training without screaming at you or feeling like you accidentally joined the marines. My 2x a week Choose to Lose sessions are something I look forward to each week, and am still sore after every session.5 stars. A+. Don’t even think twice.

Alex has pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and challenged me to put forth my best effort every day, both in and outside of the gym. Better than that, he is a genuine and compassionate person who makes me feel comfortable even when things are tough. I had been feeling lost and without direction but am now well on the path to reaching my weight loss goals and becoming the healthy person I want to be. I highly recommend making an appointment for a first session with him as soon as possible! He really changes lives.

I came to Alex looking for help getting healthier and stronger, in order to hopefully improve my post-retirement life. He worked with me in-person at first, then remotely during covid. In both cases, he prepared a personalized session plan each time designed to address my particular issues, which greatly improved over time. His genuine interest in my health, his positive motivational attitude, and sense of humor were just what I needed, especially during covid. I will always be grateful to him for that, and count him as a friend.

Working with Alex I've really seen improvement in my abs and I've felt the awareness of those muscles. The strength workouts feel great and I'm making progress in everything that I'm doing there. And I think all the sprints we did for the couple months really helped my cardio because I ran a mile in the fastest time I’ve ever had. All of these things combined are going to help me dance better and have a better presence on the floor.

I first met Alex in August 2015 when he presented at one of my company's Lunch and Learn for Health events. At first I thought it was going to be one of the standard company-sponsored puff pieces from a local fitness n*** and just another hour of me feeling bad about my current situation, which was that I didn't make health and fitness a huge priority in my life. Little did I know that his discussion, relating to the role of human behavior and fitness, struck a chord with me because the root cause of my issues with fitness were highly correlated with my human-related tendencies and behaviors. With a degree in Psychology from U of M, I was captivated by how well he was able to articulate his point, and better yet, how he created a company that will help people like me solve my mental block with working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and trying to keep it light and fun in the process. His name was Alex McBrairty of A-Team Fitness.From that lunch session, I was convinced enough to schedule a free one-hour fitness assessment. He was able to gracefully point out areas of improvement in my general form and fitness, and asked about my goals (if any) and what he might be able to help me accomplish. Whoa, and to think I was just OK with the status quo, the potential for quality of life improvement was high.Since that assessment, I had joined the Choose To Lose program and my experience with Alex had been nothing short of monumental. I have less experience with his 1-on-1 sessions, but I have no doubt that they reach the same level of superior quality as in his class programs.I felt like I literally had my own personal fitness trainer who genuinely cares about me as a client and treats every single client with that same level of care. Alex is passionate about the impact he hopes to make on his clients. Again, another area where I believe Alex's education has served him very well is his personable approach to the client. After finding out that he has made a life transformation to get to where he is now, his actions speak volumes and makes him very relate-able to others who struggle with areas from weight loss, to muscle gain, to healthier eating habits. The final thing I probably appreciate most about Alex is that he is able to field difficult technical questions on the Why's of fitness minutiae, and explains answers tailored to each client's needs. It's truly amazing and rare and deserves to be recognized.In conclusion, I rate Alex and A-team Fitness a 5-star rating because there isn't a 6-star rating available. His record from Facebook doesn't surprise me in the slightest, meaning that Google has some catching up to do and is underrepresented. Highly recommend.

This guy right here.....In the nearly two years we have been working together he has absolutely seen me through some extreme major life changes! I can honestly say that I wouldn't be the person I am at this moment if it hadn't been for him. His genuine care for his clients and his joy of seeing his people succeed is not like anyone I've ever worked with. If anyone has been thinking about starting a wellness or fitness journey this is your guy! Alex thank you for your support, guidance, and checking in!

I never thought I would be a person who would need help losing weight or maintaining a healthy lifestyle. That was until I hit my highest weight ever. I was able to lose some of it, but still could not use my usual "tricks" to get it back down to a weight I was comfortable with. I remember my consultation with Alex of A-Team Fitness, and learning even then, some fundamental misconceptions regarding weight loss. Sure I was eating a salad everyday for lunch, but did I realize I was lacking protein and other important nutrients in my diet? After talking to him and gaining some insight, I decided to join the Choose to Lose Program. It was different from anything else I had ever done before. The changing combinations of workouts, and the fact that they vary between classes, and the combination of cardio and strength training, has always kept me challenged and constantly motivated. I have gained an extensive knowledge about food composition, macronutrients, and how to properly fuel my body with the appropriate foods to accomplish "gains", but most importantly I have obtained an amazing support system through my classmates and Alex as a trainer. He constantly is pushing me to try harder and to accomplish my goals. I am happy to say I have been doing this for the past 15 months, and have had amazing success, including wearing a smaller dress size than I could in high school!Life is too short to not want to be captured in photos because you think your stomach looks to big, your cheeks are too chubby, or your arms are too flabby. You only get one life, and one body, and one chance to make it count. I am so happy I made the choice to join A-Team's Choose To Lose program and take a step towards better health. Thanks Alex!

I’ve been working with Alex for about three years. I’m 71, so what I can do needs to be tailored a little bit to my age and general condition. Alex does this well, and always manages to put things together that are challenging for me but age-appropriate. I’ve made a lot of progress in these three years, and expect to make more.

Most go to a personal trainer to lose weight, gain muscle, or just get your confidence after persistent injuries(my case). Alex, is wonderful for providing all of the above. Alex is encouraging, professional and very thoughtful to minding individual needs. Before Alex, I'd never worked with a personal trainer and just relied on going to the gym regularly. But persistent injuries over a few years left me in need to finding more effective and efficient ways to workout and/or think about working out. Alex provided this. With Alex I developed some great mindful eating strategies, new exercises, great stretches and efficient ways to doing other exercises I love without risking injury. In the end a wonderful experience and you won't regret joining the A-Team!!!

My experience with Alex has been exceptional since day one. He has not only customized my workouts to meet my personal fitness goals, but he has helped me to overcome my own personal obstacles that were in my way. He is always incredibly positive and been super accommodating to my crazy work schedule. I've never been one to enjoy working out, but I can honestly say I look forward to my sessions with Alex every week. I would recommend him to anyone.
