Really bad service, I had requested hard gel on the phone when I made the appointment but when I got to the salon, they started using acrylic and kept telling me that it was gel. I mentioned that the product she was using on my nails does not look like gel, and that in my home salon this is called acrylic. I knew it was off because it felt super soft- which is why my nail broke the next day.
I mentioned to the nail tech that one finger was feeling loose, and she told me to try to break it and she’d fix it. I really didn’t understand that. She then told me that she would charge me an extra $5 for each color I use, an extra $5 for the polkadots and an extra $5 for the “M”.
At that point I just settled but I will never be back.

I came here to have hard gel acrylics removed, and the staff was all very kind. I have been to several salons in the area where that was not the case, and I will come back for a mani for that reason alone. Kindness goes a long way :-)

I was there when the ladies below me posted their review. There was one woman doing acrylic. She was doing her best to be efficient and help all customers. Angelnae either did not pick her color in advanced to match what she wanted or changed her mind because the nail tech offered to try something to better match her color. Then Angelnae changed her color entirely after going back and forth. The nail tech told her the length she chose was medium for their salon. The girls had a comment for everything. For a girl who claimed to have been to countless nail salons she sure did not plan ahead and book with someone she was familiar with or someone who would have time for a group of three.
My nails are exactly what I had asked for and everyone was kind.

horrible, absolutely rude towards customers. rushes people and doesn’t fix the mistakes that they made instead they suggest that we go home and “fix it by ourselves”. lady had a comment something rude everytime we wanted her to fix the problem. And proceeds to charge me for something i didn’t get 0/10

My handle on instagram is angel_dancer_1 i made a post about what an aweful experience this was. genuinely so disheartening as a big ann arbor nail shop girl but hey, you can’t win them all. Didn’t get what i wanted, they didn’t “have time to fix it”. Didn’t get my cuticles pushed back not length, but was still charged 70 bucks. She didn’t have the right color at first and so we switched colors but she left blue on on of my nails and said “oh it’s fine you can get the rest of it off at home with acetone” which i find bizarre because why would i be going to get my nails done and paying 70 dollars do go home and have to make changes but that’s beyond me. If you guys are looking for a good or even DECENT nail salon experience… definitely go somewhere else :(

My first time here, I made an appointment for 3PM to do a gel pedicure. I came in 5 minutes early and waited 45 minutes just to get my pedicure started. She did a spa pedicure, I didn’t know what it was so I assumed what she was doing was just the normal pedicure as I scheduled for a regular GEL pedicure not the spa version. 45 MIN WAIT FOR 15 MIN 60 DOLLAR NAILS! Why do you offer an appointment at that time if you can’t even take me in? The most expensive pedicure of my life and didn’t even ask me if I wanted the spa version!! I usually pay 35 at my Chicago salon but this one is 50 for just the regular pedicure and 60 for spa!!!

DO NOT- I REPEAT- DO NOT go to this business. Every review that describes the worst service they have ever received is absolutely true! I got a full set of acrylic nails and they are the WORST nails I have ever received! The woman was rude, she did not clean the spot before I sat down, and when I complained about the quality she said “sue me” and hung up! I cannot believe this place is still in business. It is over priced and your nails will not look good!!! Please take all of our advice and save yourself from having a horrible experience wherein you have to immediately get your nails redone! Don’t waste your time and money!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE, they clearly purchased the 5 stars, please look through the reviews with the nails they are SO BAD, customer service is atrocious!! I am saving you a headache with the worst nail place in Ann Arbor. We had nails done here, there were the worst most expensive nails in Ann Arbor. When we complained about how bad the nails were and asked for a refund because we had to have them removed and replaced somewhere else. The manager said they don’t do refunds and that is their policy and the best they can do is a 10% discount. This place is actual trash with the worst customer service. DO NOT GO HERE !

I’ve never experienced such horrible service at any nail shop before ! I came in for a walk-in for short set and pedicure. The Receptionist was extremely nonchalant and almost seemed as she didn’t want me around to fill a slot. I eventually was seated and she worked on my nails…. this took almost 2 hours on just the nails , which was only a dip powder set….luckily I had time to spare!! I was then seated for the pedicure. This is where the REAL HORROR starts! Although the lady actually doing my pedicure was lovely ! Her coworkers were not. My water did start off very cold but no worries I simply advised her the water was cold and easy fix. Which I did twice. She begins asking me did I want my pedicure to match my nails. Of course I said yes and she preceded to say 5 mins later “she doesn’t have that color for toes and I would have to get something else” … I tell her that’s fine.( it was a green highlighted color) I don’t want a complete different color…find a similar color to my nails please. Which her coworkers jumps in the conversation and instructs me to get UP and find the similar color. At this point , my feet are SOAKING for my pedicure. Excuse me ???? I tell her NO my feet are wet WHY would I get up???? Luckily my boyfriend was with me and he just diffused the situation by handing me the nail samples... Which I FOUND a similar color…..but WOW the audacity! Last time I checked I was paying for a service ! The pedicure lady which I unfortunately didn’t grab names, apologized for herself and coworker…. I do believe this was racially motivated. The receptionist was hostile from the beginning. I should’ve never sat down. Do better ! Definitely my last time doing business here.

The application was good but once my nail tech used the drill i had 5 cuts total, they didn’t really care about the polish job. I asked for french tips and both of my hands look completely different. I even tried complimenting her application and got ignored, she was very aggressive and got mad when i accidentally bumped my nails on the plastic. I requested my boyfriend initial on my ring finger and her reply was “we’ll see”. I’ve never hated a nail salon more and i will never be going back. I would like to say Paul is amazing and did my sister’s nails which turned out beautiful, he was so polite and very fun to be around.

I am appalled at the service I received this morning at A2 nail spa. I have never in my life asked for a refund for a set of nails, but these are just awful. I asked if she was able to do flowers and she said she was. While she was doing them I asked her to redo a few of them and she wiped them off and did them just as poorly. I would have had her take them all the way off but I had to leave for work. I asked for a refund after looking at them outside in natural light and she said she wasn’t allowed to give refunds and I would have to talk to a manager but when I asked when they would be in she said it varied and I just had to leave a message with her and she would have them call me back.
There is chunky acrylic underneath half of my nails, many of my cuticles are flooded, and there is separation between my nail and the added tip on my pinkie finger. When I asked for a refund she berated me in front of other customers and said that the shape of my nails was the problem and that I shouldn’t get flowers on my nails “if you don’t like them”. I bet flowers on my nails all the time and have never had them turn out this poorly. I fully understand that hand painted nails won’t be perfect, but this is on a whole other level. I paid $89 for these nails that I will have to have removed and redone.
Bottom line is the nails are bad but the customer service is the real reason for the low review.
