The surrounding landscape is designed to naturally capture and filter stormwater, with native plants and grasses enhancing the eco-friendly environment. Inside, visitors find great meeting and study rooms, along with a comfortable reading room overlooking a wetland. The library offers organized books by genre, such as mystery, thriller, and sci-fi, making browsing easy. Staff members are known for being friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, assisting visitors with creating library cards and guiding them to the right book sections. The venue is welcoming, with different seating areas suitable for reading, studying, or meetings. Children enjoy the fun pneumatic tubes, and parking is convenient. Overall, the Pittsfield Branch is a small, pleasant library that combines environmental principles with helpful service and a cozy atmosphere.
I went to apply for a library card for the first time and found the process to be quick and easy and the staff that assisted me to be so warm, welcoming, kind and professional. It was a very pleasant experience.

This is one of my favorite locations. It's open, modern and great for relaxing and reading. The outside area is the best and the selection of books is wonderful.

Pittsfield Branch is a wonderful library location with plenty of windows and lovely views to be seen through them. It's a fun place to browse the collections and also has a nice variety of areas to sit and hang out. I always look forward to visiting!
